This is what he considers important to spend money on? Having real long-term stretch goals at a million dollars a pop shouldn't be difficult for any designer with his salt. Cannot wait for the crash and burn.

Can ya throw a couple of million to City of Titans?

"Our $49 million stretch goal: stretchy underpants -- yes, you will actually be able to pull underpants up over someone's head in an ultrawedgie! With bump mapping for railroad track micro-dingles!"

Yeah, that looks like a disaster waiting to happen. Too bad, we need more superhero games. With the 700k they raised I'm surprised NCSoft wouldn't sell the game.

Even as someone who made a career out of hospitality I still tip based on the service I receive - I generally just tip better when it's good service. But if service is bad and there's no real reason for it then it definitely reflects that. And let's face it, Japan is different as far as the world goes. To them it's an obligation. Most anywhere else you go - at least that I've been - where there's no tipping and a living wage instead the service is complete shit or barely passable most of the time. I'll take a bartender or server who knows how to hustle for their money any day of the week.

I've done it all...and I don't like it. Customers are assholes.

Because police work is full of cool, polite people to interact with?

Nope, but we aren't as busy as people think - and the pay is a heck of a lot better!

Depends on where you work in the industry. I mostly always worked high end/fine dining so the money was great. A hell of a lot better than most of the 9-5 drones make. But yeah, it was also very hard work. By the end of every summer I'd always have dropped 30 lbs of winter weight easily.

And that's precisely why everyone should do at least one stint in a restaurant at some point in their lives. You then understand why not only tipping is necessary, but tipping well. Most people think a monkey could do it, but they really couldn't manage it if their very lives depended on it.

Tipping is only necessary because the restaurant industry discovered it could get out of paying it's employees by passing the responsibility on to the customer.

You've obviously never dined in Europe. When serving staff make living wages there isn't much inclination to do any real work, know your products, be polite, etc.

I don't hate them. I hate the fact that Congress does nothing to reign them in and make them accountable.

Wow, first the Minecraft Con con and now this scam. This and all the other crowdfunding scams - which is only getting much larger and much worse - is going to kill crowdfunding in short order. I'm done with it.

So Best Buy can rip you off on one of the few things you might actually buy at Best Buy.

Hey I got burned on that. My first HDTV, didn't know I could buy the damn cables online for less than $10 and paid $60 or something. Yeah, I was pretty steamed over that one.

4 chan exoplanet? Planet Derp.

And yes I'd love to try lab-grown beef! I love meat but I don't love slaughtering animals and all the ecological damage involved in the meat biz. That would be one of the best things about a replicator.

That applies mainly to 20 somethings. And who doesn't know that FB, Google, et al. track everything? So anyone using OR knows they're going to be tracked in everything they use it with so they're obviously ok with it or they won't use it - just another reason VR won't succeed.
