Commonplace? It's still not for 3/4 of the world. When your biggest concern is eating and maybe finding shelter this nonsense means nothing. And even for those of us in the first world, more and more of us are looking for ways to disconnect and get back to nature. So thanks, but no thanks. This is a future I want no part of. |

I like trashy girls when I'm drunk but they turn me off otherwise. I still prefer the wholesome, good girl, librarian thing. It's probably the whole Milton Paradise Lost thing about the loss of innocence and all that. I totally would have been the serpent in the garden...'C'mon baby, one little bite. I promise you'll love it.'
Never got the piercing thing. So many beautiful girls with all this shit in their face is a complete turnoff. Even get bobo honked on by girls with tongue studs, no thanks. And jewelery? Never got the desire for it. A pile of money on some coloured rocks and metals? That's not to say I haven't seen some amazing designs but anything that I've ever seen that I really appreciate is out of the price range of average mortals like ourselves and only looks good on Bond girls in small black dresses. |

We already no what the other side would have done, however, we being the other side of that expected more from Obama and he's clearly shown that all his talk was exactly that, so much talk. Forget the conomy, health care, yada yada yada, but this was the shit that he wasn't supposed to allow.

Weird you should mention that. I dunno if it's just I'm looking at more asian women of late or they're just getting hotter but I've seen plenty of hot ones around lately. I've only been with a few in my time and with the exception of one, they were no great shakes in bed. |

I only worked for EA for a year and half but it was hardly non-stop crunch. Yeah, crunch times were fucking ridiculous and stupid when they occurred but most of the time it was pretty standard 9-5 and even then you had a lot more leeway for goofing off than you would in a normal office environment.
I always felt crunch time was silly because study after study has shown that every hour after 8 hours your productivity declines while costs keep going up. And after 10-12 hours most people are just on auto-pilot and very little real work is being accomplished. And ultimately, crunch time is entirely indicative of poor time management and scheduling in the first place. Maybe 2 or 3 days before the master is shipped you put in some more time to dot the i's and cross the t's but beyond that it's pointless.

I only have one which I did in memory of a good friend who passed back in the day. I will be getting a new one soon however, and it too is somewhat in memory of a close friend who died not too long back. I will never understand why people get cliche tats - like tribal crap - simply for the sake of thinking it looks cool.

Senior Obama administration officials have secretly authorized the interception of communications carried on portions of networks operated by AT&T and other Internet service providers, a practice that might otherwise be illegal under federal wiretapping laws.
The secret legal authorization from the Justice Department originally applied to a cybersecurity pilot project in which the military monitored defense contractors' Internet links. Since then, however, the program has been expanded by President Obama to cover all critical infrastructure sectors including energy, healthcare, and finance starting June 12.
"The Justice Department is helping private companies evade federal wiretap laws," said Marc Rotenberg, executive director of the Electronic Privacy Information Center, which obtained over 1,000 pages of internal government documents and provided them to CNET this week. "Alarm bells should be going off."
Those documents show the National Security Agency and the Defense Department were deeply involved in pressing for the secret legal authorization, with NSA director Keith Alexander participating in some of the discussions personally. Despite initial reservations, including from industry participants, Justice Department attorneys eventually signed off on the project. Hope and change, my ass. |

Let's see how the games turn out, Brian, before declaring this a permanent new model. Don't forget we're just seeing the beginning of all this. As projects fail, don't live up to expectation, people are scammed, and general Kickstarter fatigue sets in this model may not last, or at least be viable for most. I know I'm getting sick of seeing fat cats who can afford to do their own stuff standing around with their hat in hand. And for every one good project there's 100 bad ones to wade through and that will only get worse as time progresses. Yeah, I think ol' Bri is jumping the gun somewhat here.

No, because the rest of the cheaters weren't viciously suing the shit out of everyone else and destroying the careers and personal lives of anyone who so much hinted that they were cheating. Armstrong did. Even to the point of perjuring himself in a court of law several times - and yet he's still hasn't gone to prison as he should. That's the difference between scumbags like Armstrong and the rest. |
