Woo! The Divinity: Original Sin kickstarter is over and they've made all their stretch goals! 944k there and the rest through Paypal! Yeah, I'm effing stoked like an effing effer! Can not wait to get my hands on it!!!
Gamefly has a few good sales on today including Anno 2070 (basic) for $10 finally. So I'm in on that one - especially after seeing how hooked Cres is on it.
Woot! Found an active 20% off coupon for Gamefly - GFD20OFF! So that brought Anno down to $7.99
Ugh, so it's not a Steam key. You need to install the Gamefly client. On the up side I totally forgot that they acquired Driect2Drive all those years back and it turns out I have 13 games listed in my library. Oh well, for $8 I can deal.

He actually sounds like an incredible douche. Just because he got killed in a country in the Middle-East doesn't change that fact. This is one of the bad things I don't like about jingoistic Americana. Once you start waving flags and throwing patriot around everything else common sense goes out the window. The blinders are on, the flags are waving, and heaven forbid anyone speak ill of them because they died in a foreign country that they really had no business being in in the first place - particularly when it's hostility against said other country is well known. That's not to say the guy deserved to die but it sure as hell doesn't make him a hero, much less amazing. Love all the typical comments that follow about how Libyans, apparently in their own country with their own norms and values, are all terrorists. |

Commonplace? It's still not for 3/4 of the world. When your biggest concern is eating and maybe finding shelter this nonsense means nothing. And even for those of us in the first world, more and more of us are looking for ways to disconnect and get back to nature. So thanks, but no thanks. This is a future I want no part of. |

I like trashy girls when I'm drunk but they turn me off otherwise. I still prefer the wholesome, good girl, librarian thing. It's probably the whole Milton Paradise Lost thing about the loss of innocence and all that. I totally would have been the serpent in the garden...'C'mon baby, one little bite. I promise you'll love it.'
Never got the piercing thing. So many beautiful girls with all this shit in their face is a complete turnoff. Even get bobo honked on by girls with tongue studs, no thanks. And jewelery? Never got the desire for it. A pile of money on some coloured rocks and metals? That's not to say I haven't seen some amazing designs but anything that I've ever seen that I really appreciate is out of the price range of average mortals like ourselves and only looks good on Bond girls in small black dresses. |

We already no what the other side would have done, however, we being the other side of that expected more from Obama and he's clearly shown that all his talk was exactly that, so much talk. Forget the conomy, health care, yada yada yada, but this was the shit that he wasn't supposed to allow.

Weird you should mention that. I dunno if it's just I'm looking at more asian women of late or they're just getting hotter but I've seen plenty of hot ones around lately. I've only been with a few in my time and with the exception of one, they were no great shakes in bed. |

I only worked for EA for a year and half but it was hardly non-stop crunch. Yeah, crunch times were fucking ridiculous and stupid when they occurred but most of the time it was pretty standard 9-5 and even then you had a lot more leeway for goofing off than you would in a normal office environment.
I always felt crunch time was silly because study after study has shown that every hour after 8 hours your productivity declines while costs keep going up. And after 10-12 hours most people are just on auto-pilot and very little real work is being accomplished. And ultimately, crunch time is entirely indicative of poor time management and scheduling in the first place. Maybe 2 or 3 days before the master is shipped you put in some more time to dot the i's and cross the t's but beyond that it's pointless.

What i dont get is getting a tattoo just to get one that has no meaning That's it. I know plenty of people who have tats they got while young that they regret. I only have one which I did in memory of a good friend who passed back in the day. I will be getting a new one soon however, and it too is somewhat in memory of a close friend who died not too long back. I will never understand why people get cliche tats - like tribal crap - simply for the sake of thinking it looks cool.

Senior Obama administration officials have secretly authorized the interception of communications carried on portions of networks operated by AT&T and other Internet service providers, a practice that might otherwise be illegal under federal wiretapping laws.
The secret legal authorization from the Justice Department originally applied to a cybersecurity pilot project in which the military monitored defense contractors' Internet links. Since then, however, the program has been expanded by President Obama to cover all critical infrastructure sectors including energy, healthcare, and finance starting June 12.
"The Justice Department is helping private companies evade federal wiretap laws," said Marc Rotenberg, executive director of the Electronic Privacy Information Center, which obtained over 1,000 pages of internal government documents and provided them to CNET this week. "Alarm bells should be going off."
Those documents show the National Security Agency and the Defense Department were deeply involved in pressing for the secret legal authorization, with NSA director Keith Alexander participating in some of the discussions personally. Despite initial reservations, including from industry participants, Justice Department attorneys eventually signed off on the project. Hope and change, my ass. |
