BBC Celebrates 10 years of the new Doctor Who by putting it on BitTorrent.

That's an interesting experiment using BT for the distribution platform. $12 for the bundle of 10 epis. Good price for what you get. I hope it doesn't get pirated too badly.

Well seeing as Canadian taxpayers footed the bill for Dr. Who we should be getting this for free, right?

Also, Ghost Rider lives!

I can only hope that asshole gets a lot of years in prison for that.

And that was a brilliant idea by Dahl. I had an official Pet Rock as a kid.

I love when people pull numbers out of their ass. 'How much you figure this'll cost us, Bill?' 'Mmm, 47 billion? That sound about right?'

I will probably never play this, since it offers no neutral or good choice paths in the story. I do hope it's successful PC port sales, so rockstar will get off their dumbasses and port Red Dead Redemption.

Well, technically you don't have to be a bad guy. No one is forcing you go commit crimes in-game. You can play virtual tourist and just travel around taking in the sites.

Celsius or Fahrenheit? (22 C today and 26 C tomorrow - here).

I wonder if my neighbors will stop washing their cars outside. I wonder if the water restrictions will really be enforced.

Celsius, Bob. You know, like what the entire planet except youse guys use.

And optionally, Canada.

All Canadian weather sites do that for the benefit of our American friends who would be lost without it.

The only people that use imperial all the time here are the grocers. They still advertise things in pounds because it sounds like a better deal. Five bucks a pound sounds way better than 10.40 a kilogram. So whenever I go grocery shopping I always ask the produce and butcher guys to convert the price to metric for me for sport.

*whoosh*

Clearly you're unfamiliar with Deadpool, otherwise you'd know its one property that should have an R rating. Deadpool isn't for kiddies. At least he's not supposed to be, so that means this is going to suck. Probably as bad as Green Lantern.

Ahhh, good on her. That's bonza, mate! I don't see how that's obscene, unless Oz is still behind the times and women being topless in public is illegal.

And that scumbag only has to serve 2 years in a country club and gets to keep 200k in the process? The fuck?!

"Something is wrong here," Harris Bruce Taback, Mills' attorney, said in court. "This compass that is in him needs to be reset and counseling is going to be a great help to him."

Yeah, he's another classic sociopath for whom counselling won't make a lick of difference. People like him have to be barred from ever owning and operating a business ever again.

Yeah, it's a good time still to grab some graphene stock for some long term growth.

I'd suggest that people simply taking engineering as fallback career over law probably won't make very good engineers. Unless they're doing an engineering degree and then a law degree to be really specialized. There's still big money in law for that.

Yeah, my phone is for work and emergency. I don't text or waste time chatting on the phone for no reason. I just don't get when I see people walking around yammering on the phone all day long about nothing.

And it's always nice to see a bully cop get his comeuppance. I just wonder how many people have had to suffer over the years because of an asshole like him.

General Jack D. Ripper: Mandrake, do you recall what Clemenceau once said about war?

Group Capt. Lionel Mandrake: No, I don't think I do, sir, no.

General Jack D. Ripper: He said war was too important to be left to the generals. When he said that, 50 years ago, he might have been right. But today, war is too important to be left to politicians. They have neither the time, the training, nor the inclination for strategic thought. I can no longer sit back and allow Communist infiltration, Communist indoctrination, Communist subversion and the international Communist conspiracy to sap and impurify all of our precious bodily fluids.

Is it just me or do the textures still look a bit dated. The look like console textures to me. Not on everything, but some stuff, clothes, trees, etc. Regardless, I'm going to play the living shit out of this thing, but I'm just sayin' is all.

Yeah, why don't those "tech leaders" do something more important and put an end to ageism which is far more rampant and affects far more people. Oh right, because that would cost them money.

That load time issue gets MUCH worse later on, there is an ENTIRE second city in act 3... I stopped playing for now ^^

I can't really criticize it yet, fully, but from the pure mechanics I don't much like this combat system AT ALL. I guess I do like the engagement system which allows blocking paths, but I hate the spell system and the talents.. the short durations on everything. I want spells that last longer than 4 seconds (I hated that in DnD alread) and worse is Druids shapeshift only works for 15 seconds.. sigh.

Yeah, it seems a lot of people are hating on their system and rightfully so. It wouldn't be so bad if it were turn based but real-time even with slow was a pretty stupid choice. And yeah, I don't even bother with crafting scrolls/pots/spells that aren't (near) instant or at least a few minutes - which most don't. A paralye spell that lasts 4 seconds? What's the point? It just makes things like de/buffing pointless because fights happen so fucking fast. And yeah, no taunts, locking down mobs etc. The list goes on and on. Suffice it to say, I find slogging through combat in this game to be a chore. I think may even shelf it for a few patches and try again later on. I still have to finish DoS and it's only 2 more weeks until GTA5 drops and once that hits forget everything else for a while!

Otherwise yeah, the art is nice and the writing decent for the most part but this game's system should have been crucified in reviews. I'm just glad I got it for $20 because if I had paid the $45 they're asking for it now I would have been beyond pissed off.
