You'd think the sheer volume of viruses and malware would keep people away from warez.

Can I get a copyright of a picture of a brass monkey? That funky monkey?

5.1 billion is insanely optimistic. No one is going to be making VR games because no one is going to be buying VR at those prices.

Lower price than I expected, so it sounds right that they are selling at a loss. Because the Xbox One installed base is over 15 million, they should be able to sell 1 million this year at that price point. The software isn't particularly compelling, but over time, we'll see more software in correlation with growth of the installed base.--Michael Pachter, Managing Director, Equity Research, Wedbush Securities

This another prime example of what a tool Pachter is. The OR doesn't work with the Failbox, Mikey. It doesn't have the chops! You need a high end PC for it. So, it's not even going to sell in most of the PC market. Why the fuck do people listen to that clown? I'll be surprised if the thing moves 100k units worldwide this year.

Really? Try Canada where this is $850 + $100. Hahaha! Yeah, looks like you're not going to see a lot of adoption in Canada anytime soon. And it's really cheap and uncomfortable looking to boot. Look at the headphones! Totes ghetto.

Wrong again, Cutter.
I don't see the Beats logo anywhere on those headphones.

Hah! Zing! Of course Dr. Dre is laughing too...all the way to bank.

If you're dumb enough to pay for brain games as a service it's not brain games you need, you need a brain.

And that's a HUGE issue right there. Not all faces and head sizes are the same, not even close. How do you design a one size fits all for that? Even beyond a whole host of other isssues I see this as being one of the biggest. I suspect you're going to hear a lot of complaints from a lot of people how uncomfortable and hot most VR gear is - which again will lead to its demise. Face it, until we can jack into the interwebs ala Snowcrash it ain't gonna' happen.

Hope it's a HELL of a lot better than Wasteland 2 was. Was not impressed. And it's a mighty high bar to reach to come up to Torment's quality.

If I lived in a NFL/MLB city (I don't) I would never vote to approve the use tax dollars to build them a stadium. Building stadiums for millionaires (if not billionaires) doesn't make the list of things that need to be done with tax dollars.

Exactly. You want a stadium? You pay for it.

So is the DLC that makes it good? Given how bad the original game is they should be giving these things away.

No, they should have never gone with the Abstergo nonsense to begin with. They should have just made it about the Brohood vs. Teh Templars down through the ages. I agree it would be better to treat the characters with some more depth and give them 2 to 3 games each ala Ezio. It's probably why people connect with him best. You start out with him as some punk kid and end up an old man over the course of 3 games.

How have they not gotten an off year pirate version started by now?

No. Alexandria is huge. Historically it would work really well for the Ass Creed series.

RE: The "nothing to hide" argument, beyond the real personal ramifications one can reason out with even a cursory examination of the topic, is still an incredibly selfish argument. Mathematically it's entirely probable it won't be used against you. What about other people? Is it ok for power to be abused so long as it happens to someone else? Journalists critical of the people in power? Whistleblowers? Opposition members of government? Rival businesses of someone in power? evidence exists that this has already happened. There are things that happen outside ones sheltered, insular personal life that affect society as a whole.

Gee, let's just hope he doesn't have any medical issues - real or potential - that could possibly mean no one would insure him. But that's ok, because he has nothing to hide apparently.
