Environments are great - something Blizzard always does well. Gameplay itself is lame. I'm tired of their stylized characters.

Ok, so Obama was marginally less evil than Bush. Wow, let's throw a big parade for that. Meanwhile working stiffs continue to get screwed.

The Destiny article is a bit funny.

Kotaku being Kotaku. For that matter, the games press still feeling like they're entitled to direct sales numbers. Activision's latest earnings are way up and they attributed most of that to Destiny. Whether or not it's doing as well as they ultimately hoped (which were probably absurdly high projections) is debatable but to say it's not a huge success is clearly evidenced as wrong by their earnings.

That's pure conjecture. If it was doing really well they'd be crowing about it long and loud. They mention $325 million in sell-through. That means nothing. That's just boxes on shelves. The development and marketing has run them 300 mil alone. So they're probably only in break even territory, if that. Certainly not the billion dollar IP Nodick was fapping about.

Everyone knows the real reason to be upset about it disappearing from Steam.

No chance of it being on a Steam sale-athon.

Uplay has sales all the time. And they'll likely increase with deeper discounts if they don't have to give anyone else a cut. All the major publishers will move away from Steam, it only makes sense. I'd do the same thing if I were in their shoes.

Reminds me of the story how Laurence Fishburne snapped on an idiot who left his phone on while he was one stage yelling 'Turn your fucking phone off!'

Great to see new work by Bill. Hope there's more to come!

Steam needs a kick in the ass. They've grown way too complacent. Competition is good. I have no problem with this.

How can't it be always listening? Otherwise how would it not be waiting to here, 'Alexa, are you always listening to me?' Keen idea but nothing I'd trust in the current political climate. You just know that in a few years time a story is going to break how all the various spy agencies have been data mining this and everything like it for years.

Oh, and BTW winter is coming - now officially. Tonight at sunset a HUGE flock of geese - actually several dozen large flocks - were all flying south over my house. It was actually a pretty incredible sight - I've never seen that many before, and boy was it loud, I heard them coming a good several minutes before they came into view! Wish I would had a camcorder to record it - my little phone simply isn't up to the task.

Star Wars: The Quest for Billions of Dollars!

Disclaimer: I will watch SW:Episode VII, as is required by law.

By law? Pfft. The original was ok. It was mainly amazing because the FX at the time were unparalleled. Empire was actually good because Lucas had the least to do with it. After that it was all downhill. Just tripe churned out for mechandising. I didn't think it could get much worse than ROTJ, boy was I wrong. And with Lamebrams at the helm now? It'll be worse still. No, I'll very easily skip this garbage and not give a single whit about it. Hear me? Not one whit, sir!
