Just get a basic functional game out there and the tools you need to add-on/in to it. Then start churning out your promised addons and future DLC. It's not rocket surgery!

I'm tending to agree with the perspective now it's more about how long he can milk this than delivering something 'complete'.

Threaten someone that specifically, and expect to go to jail. Am I missing something here? Not sure the first amendment would apply if this were in the USA.

I don't see where he broke the law from the example they gave. A threat is personal. 'You better watch it or I'm going to kill you' vs. 'You better watch it or someone will kill you' is different in the eyes of the law - the first being illegal and the second being legal because it's indirect.

I hate these half-stories. Give us more examples. Why the hell was he doing it in the first place?

Half the world's wildlife gone over last 40 years. Oops.

On the plus side, the human population has tripled in that time, so at least all that space isn't going to waste.

Was listening to this today. They stated that the US still has the largest carbon footprint and if everyone lived as the average American we'd need 4 earths minimum to support that lifestyle. As the world is now - and headed - we need two. I'm calling WW III by 2050. Fallout is finally going to happen. Life imitating art because war, war never changes.

That'd make a bloody marvelous game.

Talk is cheap. As is EA's quality assurance.

There QA isn't the problem, it's management as always. At EA it simply comes down to a ship date regardless of how many bugs are left. They don't care about the volume of bugs, only crash bugs. So long as it's stable-ish then 'ship that fucker' is there motto!

All good series generally take about 3 seasons before they hit they stride, so unless they have some real longevity they're generally ending too soon.

Would be nice, Tim, but that ship has sailed.

The problem isn't AT&T so much as it's the governments they're buying off. If the voters in those districts won't do anything about it then it's their own fault. If you don't care about democracy you don't deserve it and won't have it.

Blue, there's a "betty crocker cake mix" quiz ad that throws up pop-ups. Just as an FYI. It closes readily enough, but pop-ups typically make people quickly reach for the adblocker again.

Why are you searching for cakes?

I've got an ad for Restasis eye drops right now.
Computer I haven't taken those in years.

Sometimes a man just wants some cake.

The cake is a lie.
Cake

And Blue, as the old expression goes, cheap is usually pretty expensive. Find better parts or buy a better toilet. I've installed a few new toilets over the years and never had to replace them, or much fix them either.

I've met more than one highly intelligent person with very advanced degrees who are unable to find work in their field at at a decent pay rate. People become so specialized with PhDs that they all end up competing for the same 20 or 30 jobs. When there's a glut of PhDs it causing degree hiring inflation, which is even worse.

As an aside, I wish people would recognize that having a HS diploma is the same has having no diploma and fund free public education through to the level of at least an associate's or trade school education. Also, the stigma on trade work needs to be erased. There is nothing great about any white collar worker that sets him above a good plumber or welder.

PhD high energy physics, here. Having trouble finding work.

And most of my family are professional tradesmen making 6 figures and turning down work all the time. Even I have a hard time trying to get them in to do some work for me and I'm willing to pay the going rates because I'd rather keep it in the family.

And so long as programs like H-B1 and their ilk remain there will be a glut of overeducated people here because it's exactly what the big corps want and most people are too lazy or feel they're better than the trades. So it's lose-lose for them.

Why do they even bother wasting time and money on this sort of bullshit that will never happen? I'd actually respect them more if they were honest and just came out and said, 'We're a virtual a monopoly you won't do anything about so go fuck yourselves.'
