I'm surprised that nobody has sought employment there, just to confirm or deny Duke Nukem Forever, and then make a blog about it before quitting.
Actually, this is a great idea for any aspiring gaming journalist to get himself quite a bit of publicity.
Why hasn't it been done yet? Or has it?
The answer to that is simple..... They would not show you anything until you sign a NDA.

The only thing I care about is 3DRelms total incompetent miss-handling of a high potential IP (i.e. the Duke character).
Do I believe I'll ever see the game? NO Would I buy the game if it were to appear? NO

Well it will be interesting to see what my statement says. I just purchased TF2 for US$19.95. Which by current conversion rates is (at time of purchase) AU$21.50. That artical must be quite old.

"Anyone that bitches about combat being boring or two easy and gives this as an example, has only brought that boredom on themselves.
With the price drop on Steam I just picked up Bioshock finally and have been playing it through. I'm not very far yet, a few hours in, but I've had no shortage of ammunition and certainly not bored with combat. Plenty of weapons and Plasmids to mix things up. Run out of ammo on 1 weapon, switch to another. Or use Plasmid combos with varying tactics.
Art direction is superb! I can't believe people would actually criticize the underwater city setting with 1940's deco. Would you rather have yet another space research facility with just a brown and grey color palette to walk around in? Or how about another war torn WW2 Europe?
People need to take their heads out of their asses. If anything is killing PC gaming it's the incessant hardcore whiners that want to bitch about one extreme to the next."
Amen to that. I'm a 45YO gamer that started with Pong. Bioshock is a great game full of atmosphere and various ways to achieve the desired result. The problem with gamers these days.... Spoilt young punks.

Baseball? Isn't that an American sport that ONLY the USA and Canada participate in but, the competition is called the "World" Series and the winners are called "World" Champions?

"The Team Fortress 2 griefing videos were hilarious."
Sorry but, I find nothing funny about greiefers at all. EVER! I would LOVE to see Valve ban they're Steam accounts permanently.

Every Linux user I have ever met is the same. They carry this chip on their shoulder against MS the size of Manhatten. Bill Gates is laughing his ass off at the posturing of the "penguin heads". Every time there is the slightest dissagreement between linux devs the one(s) who does not get his way takes his friends and starts another distro. The ol' saying rings true: United you shall stand. Divided you shall fall.
As for this STEAM-Linux thing, we have a vocal minority (as usual) trying to have things changed to suit them. I have no real love for MS but, until someone comes up with something better I will stick with it and Linux is not it.

Well there ya go. I guess you don't need draconian, heavy handed DRM like Starforce to increase your sales.

It's LONG past time where companies took care of their PAYING customers rather than treat them ALL as potential criminals. NEWS FLASH!!! Piracy of computer games has been around since before the Commodore 64 days and even then the doom and gloom about it bringing the industry down was just as loud as it is today. Fast forward to today and the industry has not rolled over and died but, has in fact got stronger. There is no need for treating cutomers like criminals. Companies like Valve need to realize that YOUR GAMES WILL GET PIRATED!! Treating your customers like criminals will not change this. A simple 10 minute search yealded half a dozen different ways to play Steam games for free. Some of which allows you to DIRECTLY download from STEAM itself. LARF! (solid security there Valve) EP1 was out and about (hacked and released) 2 days after it's release. So please explain why legit cusomer need to be tied down with draconian DRM's??? I have purchaced HL and HL2 so, my Steam is legit but, I will NEVER give Valve (or any developer who uses DRM like Starforce etc.) another cent of my money while they continue to treat me and other legit customers as criminals. Wake up and and stop biting the hand that feeds you.

LOL The same old shite as when XP was due for release.
In 1.5 to 2 years you'll all be using Vista just like you're now using XP. With the possible exception of a few radical "burn Bill penguin heads" The whole "wailing and moaning" process will repeat itself when the next MS OS is due for release.

Whaetver you have to use to justify your piracy dude.
MORON! Read my post. I said it is AVAILABLE on the torrent sites. I did NOT say I downloaded it. I wouldn't waste my time or bandwidth on this crap. I don't care if it's realeased on Steam, cd, dvd or tattoed on a carrier pigeon's bum.

Hacked, cracked and available on the torrent sites. NO STEAM REQUIRED. Way to go Steam! LOL. I guess as a "secure" way to release games Valve has wasted their time and money. For those of you who don't mind paying $180 for 1 game then be my guest. Valve are counting on dud's like you. Counting all the way to the bank. As for me............ NO MONEY FOR YOU THEN.
