Shove it Rockstar. Red Dead Redemption or nothing. LOL! So many RDR requests on Rockstar forum they are now deleting them as "off topic". The consumer has told them what they want to buy and Rockstar haven't listened. How blind can they be? So, if LA Noir flops they will run off at the mouth about piracy on the PC etc. When the real fault lies with Rockstar NOT giving the consumer what they want. Staggers the imagination. It really does. |

I would like to put George Brousard against the wall and have him shot for the complete "balls-up" Duke Forever has been for the last 12 years. However this game has fun written all over it. I'm game. I'm in GFX be damned. |

Here we go with this "GFX" crap again. Crysis had the best GFX I have seen but, it blew big greasy alcohol soaked chunks in the fun factor department (my opinion only).
Gameplay and fun over GFX EVERY TIME.
Just replayed No One Lives Forever 1 and it was a blast. Great fun on Lithtech 1 engine.
Rage's engine looks perfectly adequate and functional for the world they are creating so, all that remains is the fun factor and we won't know that till release time. |

With the Au$ buying 1.05 US$ ATM the prices should in fact be cheaper than the US. Publishers who are involved with this inexcusable price gouging have no call whatsoever to complain about being pirated.
You see just recently the "Doritoes" company here in .au quietly slipped in a price rise. No they didn't actually raise the price. They lowered the content of the pack from 200 grams to 175 grams. They thought no one would notice. However there is no choice with corn chips. buy or don't buy. Not so with digital media (games, movies, music etc.). Depending on your "morality" you can pirate. The power is in the hands of the consumer and they have little compassion for industries that blatantly rip them off.
An industry cannot stand on a "soapbox" and complain about being "ripped off" when they are doing the exact same thing to their customers. It's called hypocrisy. |

Well... I noticed that Bulletstorm is already available on the torrent sites for XB360 and PS3. So, Cliffy is that the fault of the "nasty" PC pirates? Are you now going to dump on the console world like you did the PC world? Epic peaked at Unreal Tournament 1. Been all downhill since then.(my opinion only) |

"Epic announce the biggest news for PC gaming this century: Unreal Tournament 26." and if it doesn't sell it's those damn PC pirates fault GRRRRRR...... |

It was a smart business decision by Valve. The reason you find it fun is because it ARTIFICIALLY makes you look better than you are. You know... It strokes your ego. I did purchase it in expectation of the next evolution of the TF lineage and WOW!!!! What an abomination. I hate it with a passion. Robin Walker and John Cook (fellow Australians) sold the soul of TF to the corporate entity. As I said smart for business, totally devastating for what TF USED to be. It is what it is. |

If you want to make money with PC games, accept piracy. You cannot have the one without the other. And surprisingly enough, you CAN make a lot of money with PC games. Ask Blizzard, ask Valve. Every single one of their games is being pirated back and forth and they make millions, because people see worth in these games and therefore pay for them. Make your games worth enough in the eyes of the customer and he will pay. The customer matters. Nothing else.
Couldn't have said it better. Piracy has been around since the before the Commodore 64 days. Game devs were making good money back then and they make BETTER money now. The piracy debate from the devs side is nothing but GREED. If they make thousands they want to make tens of thousands. If they make tens of thousands they want to make hundreds thousands. If they make hundreds of thousands they want to make millions. Etc. Etc. Nothing but corporate greed. Whatever they make will NEVER be enough. The MPAA bitches about piracy yet the movie industry can afford to pay Daniel Radcliffe 50 MILLION for the new Harry Potter movie. Imagine how much better their bottom line would be if everyone who earns more than 3 million on a particular movie took a 50% pay cut. That includes the "fat cat" suits at the top of the movie industry. I could share 50 million around my direct family and closest friends and we would ALL live financially comfortable for the rest of our lives. Sorry got side tracked. The bottom line is GREED. They (the devs) are mostly well off but, it's never enough. How many Ferrari's does John Carmack own yet Quake (and others) was pirated to hell and back. nuff said. |

Now you know why they are "reluctant" to conclude the half-life series. Moneys just pouring in via Steam. Why spend 3 to 5 years developing when you can "cookie cut" games with a 1 or 2 year dev cycle (i.e L4D, L4D2) or continue to add meaningless addons to existing games (i.e. TF2). Can you imagine the mess TF2 is going to be in a year or 2? It's a shame because when the focus becomes money you lose focus on what made you great in the first place.
Just my opinion. Please control fan boi rage. |

The World Series kicks off tonight
Ah yes. The winner will be crowned "World Champs" in a competition that has only 2 countries competing in it. It should be "North American Champs".
We recently had the Australian Football League grand final and the TV was interviewing one of the victorious players. At the end of the interview he turned to the camera and said with a wink "Guess that makes us the World Champs". I almost busted a gut laughing.

Only reason for me to use Windows is for games. No other reason. Everything else I want to do I can do on Linux for free.
Why use 2 operating systems when I can play games AND do everything else I want to do on one. Windows. |

Already available for the XBox360 on the torrent sites. So, yeah. I can see how it's the PC that has a piracy problem. |

Meh! DRM never worked before. Won't work now. The very nature of the PC prevents it. I couldn't care less if the whinin' devs/publishers leave the PC platform as that will clear room for someone with real passion for their game to do well. There will always be a customer base for PC games so, let these greedy corporate shmucks leave so some one else can have a go. Start-up devs with vision and passion usually make the best games. Once money and profit are the prime motivators the product is as good as dead. Epic are a prime example of this. The PC platform gave them ALL they have now. All they did is rehash the same game over and over. Give it a new lick of paint and pump it out as UT 2Kwhatever. This is why sales went down. As for GOW? Well.... If you release a game 6 months after release on the consoles most of your potential customers that are interested in that game would have already played it on said console. no brainer there... less sales on PC. Yet they laid the blame squarely at the feet of piracy. LOL! |
