Would be nice if they would have offered this for TF2 owners that may have pre-ordered the game from elsewhere.
However 20% off is still better than some silly hats.
Still overall it's a nice promotion for Rift, so that's pretty cool. |

| Let's see HBO... so you can make a little profit by letting Netflix stream your content or you can make no profit when Netflix users go to torrents/newsgroups/friends DVR recordings/VHS tapes/DVD Rentals/???? to watch their HBO shows. |

| Bethesda has officially warranted a Collector's Edition PC purchase from me. Glad to see they are still supporting the mod community instead of turning their backs on it as some devs have been doing. |

So, to spell it out for you, since you clearly don't understand sarcasm... Of course it doesn't, but pro-piracy people will use the lack of a demo on PC, a system where...shit just might not run if you don't have the magical hardware combination the devs tested on, as an excuse to pirate it.
Also... demos are by FAR a great means of advertising your product. Would id really be as big as they are now if they weren't so pro-shareware back in the day? I think not.
A lack of a demo typically means a company doesn't fully stand behind their product or they would commit the resources to slap together a one or two level demo showcasing why consumers should purchase their game. For a AAA game commanding a price usually only seen by Collector's Edition PC games the lack of a demo is inexcusable and highly suspect. |

Let's try something simpler...
Can I create a ship that lets me fly it in full 360 degrees of freedom like that other Star Wars MMO that's been out for years? No?
Peace. I'm out. |

Can you actually take damage from monsters in multiplayer now?
That's really what's been holding me off from playing MP. Minecraft without threats of monsters is boring to me.
And yes, we need dragons, giants, and other large beasties to slay. |

I hope Stardock is sincere about continued support of the game, it really is a fun, if not flawed, game.
When you release a bug ridden product, post-release support is the very LEAST you can do. The gaming industry doesn't seem to always get that, in many cases dropping support just months after a games release.
Also, from what I've read, Brad has a very personal attachment to this game, it's sort of his "dream game". I really hope that passion keeps burning his desire to improve the product and also release some great expansions.
Oh and if you really like the game, the collector's edition is actually very cool and has a lot of stuff you simply don't see in CEs anymore, such as a neat pewter dragon and cloth map as well as a nice thick manual with lots and lots of lore. |
