I only bought Crysis for that Mechwarrior total conversion. I sure hope Sandbox makes a return.
EDIT. LOL... just watched the video... so... Crysis 2's multiplayer is a next-gen experience because they give you a suit that makes you a super soldier? Haven't super soldiers been a staple of shooters since like... every "gen"?
Also... no, no players will come to "respect your suit", they'll teabag you like everyone else. |

The 10-year organized mass genocide of millions of hated peoples run by perhaps the most singular evil being in human history compares to a months-long, regional hysteria sparked by a few lunatic girls in what way exactly? The sense of scale is completely off. Heck they only similar items are death and insanity...and you find that at a soccer riot. So you mean to tell me there is absolutely no correlation between a group of people who were hunted and persecuted because of a perceived evilness about the group of people and a group of people who were hunted and persecuted because of a perceived evilness about that group of people?
Scale has nothing to do with it, it's still a matter of intolerance, ignorance, and supremacy leading to the brutal deaths of innocents. Oh and yes there were loads of innocents killed in the name of witchcraft in a time span much longer than 10 years, in fact it is even still occurring today.

I don't have a problem with alternate timelines but I stand by my opinion that this setting is every bit as distasteful as the Holocaust, making it "cute and charming" is ridiculous. |

After watching a video of a dev starting up the A-10 in this game I'm pretty sure I'd just sit on the tarmac flailing about in the cockpit.
However it could be good training for when the zombie apocalypse happens and I find myself at an abandoned A-10 base in need of something to pacify hordes of zombies... |

Although Salem takes place in a light-hearted gothic setting with a charming and cute art-style, there is also open Player-versus-Player combat and permanent death. Players will also experience creatures based off actual colonist folklore like Squonks, Hidebehinds and of course witches in an open sand box world. .... Are you kidding me?
The Salem witch hunt was every bit as "light-hearted, charming, and cute" as the Holocaust.
I'm sure good little Puritan boys and girls will eat this up though. |

Achievements are worthless, unless you're a gamerscore whoring epeen monger.
How about giving us something more meaningful, like 50 more gameplay hours? |

| Thanks for parsing that all together. The Jules Verne doodle was one of the more fun ones. It was neat to "explore" the picture and made me feel all the reasons why I enjoy Verne's fiction. |

It's also pretty telling they canceled the beta test, it lasted all of about one week. In that week it suffered horrible FPS problems with zero settings turned up, no AA options, it only ran in window, etc.
It's a pity, I liked the first one and it was nice they had an enhanced driving model. They didn't seem to learn anything from the first game or subsequent racing titles. I'm sad to say Need for Speed cars handled more like real cars than in this game. |

We don't WANT "dumbed down" tools you freaking idiots! Seriously... when you look at all the amazing and fantastic total conversions that came out of this, according to EA "dipshit modding community", for BF2 you have to stop and ask yourself why the fuck would EA not only say we're not getting mod tools but to call in to question the communities capabilities just blows me away.
I HIGHLY doubt the tools for this FPS shooter engine is more complex than the massive CRPG engines of Fallout 3/NV/Oblivion or the upcoming Skyrim.
What's the real reason? They want to whore their DLC.
EA/DICE, you can take that DLC and take this game and shove it up your leprous ass. |

Button remaps benefit everyone, not just the disabled.
There's simply no reason why any game, especially "AAA" titles not include them in this era. |

I simply don't purchase from GamersGate since I highly doubt they'll be around in 5 years, Steam however will be and I'll always be able to reinstall my purchases.
Steam's sales also blow anything I've seen from other online download companies out of the water.
Steam is also a much more integrated experience, almost "console" like in its easiness to join friends for games, groups, etc.
If anyone can compete with Steam it's perhaps Impulse, but then I only used that to buy a Stardock game. |

Would be nice if they would have offered this for TF2 owners that may have pre-ordered the game from elsewhere.
However 20% off is still better than some silly hats.
Still overall it's a nice promotion for Rift, so that's pretty cool. |
