"we had another of our brushes with celebrity"

I often get Pizza for lunch from the local place (pretty good pie BTW). The owner played the restaurant guy in the Sopranos finale. I would've mentioned earlier but don't get HBO.

Can't wait, but I'll hate to see it over for the season.

A couple of good interviews from this morning

SST: Another theory is that it's Volcanic ash. My question is "Is it there to keep Jacob in or something else out?"

"Last night I had one of those weird restless fever sleeps (think Martin Sheen in Apocalypse Now)"

You weren't still on a dose of the pseudoephedrine overnight were you? That stuff pretty much guarantees ceiling fans turning into chopper blades and such. I think they vaguely refer to this side-effect as "restlessness".

10. I like the demo Feb 15, 2007, 13:27 theSAWzall

I've been playing the Demo the last week or so. I think I'll be buying it. NewEgg seems to have the lowest price I've seen so far. Amazon only promises 15 days for delivery of their used stock, I can't wait that long.

Commerce Bank has coin counting machines, you work them w/ a touchscreen. I don't even have an account there, but recently made a special trip to exchange my $5+ of pennies from last year.

Man this has been a tough season for us Eagles fans. 4-3 but so close to 7-0. On top of it all, we're supposed to hope for a Dallas win tonight!

I too was hoping this was a sequel. I remember playing the original Circa 1989 or so. GS2000 was a good follow-up.

Visiting Pat's and Geno's (rival cheesesteak places) fits in well with football. There's the historic sites if you're into that. South street can be entertaining (home of Philly's alternative scene). The Rodin Museum works well with the Art Museum (btw the Rocky statue is newly established at the foot of the art museum steps).

Interestingly Gov. Rendell's first act in office was to repeal PA's helmet law. I believe passengers are still required to wear one, but it's optional for the driver.

You guys must be used to playing non-tactical shooters. I loved with Rogue Spear, and enjoyed the original GR (thankfully the teammembers are much smarter now). You just have to realize you're meant to direct your team-mates, not do everything yourself.

Meanwhile they've stopped selling canned soda and beer in Philadelphia. Why?...Becuase they lost the opener. (ba-dummpp-ba)

An old Tug McGraw joke used many seasons.

I swear as they've introduced the newer models they've cut back on quality control for the older models. That's the real issue for me. Every package or 2 I'll put in a new blade cartridge and find it's just not working right (blades are at the wrong angle or there must be a burr on one of the blades). With more blades this just becomes a bigger issue since there's a greater chance the assembly won't work well.

But it's really the marketability (blades=megapixels!) and an excuse to raise the price. If someone would just introduce an HQ model, where they had better quality control, I'd go for it.
