I actually love Netflix...it just needs a bigger streaming selection. Hopefully the Netflix streaming list will improve. |

After reading the Anandtech article I was excited to check out Vudu...it basically advertises on their front page that you can get tons of movies in HD streamed with lots of titles for only $2 for 2 nights.
So...here's the real deal with Vudu...
I go through the hassle of signing up only to find out that NO titles are able to be streamed in HD to a PC...only to certain approved set-top boxes. Plus, almost every title I looked up was more than $2 and if you wanted HD (if you had a box that can do it) the prices are all well over $2. Total false advertising.

Seriously...I am still chipping away at all the games I bought over the Xmas sale on steam which has held me over until I get a new vid card to start into Skyrim (again which I picked up on sale this past week on Steam!)

Oh that's too bad...I'm halfway through Brotherhood at the moment and enjoying it so far. I was thinking about picking up revelations after that. |

Whereas if I simply restart the Steam client in Offline mode it launches instantly. If it's instant in Offline mode it should be the same online.
I had problems like this when I was running Steam on a Vista machine. For some reason Vista just seems to progressively screw itself as it gets older. Since switching to Win 7 I haven't had the hang issues in Steam any more. |

| Totally agree. Got it on sale a while back and wasn't expecting much...was blown away by the immersive atmosphere. Great game. |

It validates because it syncs the saves on exit and start - saves are saved online.... when you lose connections it tries to sync (on exit ) until it has connection or waits till you start again.
So i am wondering if people confuse the cloud sync function with drm
I absolutely hate this crap... so if you lose your internet connection mid-game, any game progress after that is going to be lost cause the thing can't sync to the cloud. Brutal |

I'm personally enjoying the game...I stopped playing WoW like a year ago and this just feels fresh and interesting.
Word of warning though: I've had some bad vid-card issues with this game and many others are reporting the same thing. It needs serious optimization for certain vid cards. I'm sure this will be remedied soon enough but if you do buy this game and notice you are having FPS issues or random crashes, turn off all AA, shadows. |
