Demo's, always except Japan...

This is one way the PS3 is superior - anyone can download ANY demo at any time, in any country.

Locking demo's is akin to saying 'You aren't welcome for such an exclusive look.'

It's just a fracking demo.

In the beginning, before the game was released, HG:London was clearly DOOMED.

And yet they STILL took 'Lifetime subscriptions' of what? $150 from people for a game that was heavily bugged and flawed from day one.

This opens up the question: How can we trust a 'Lifetime subscription' to an MMO?

But it also proves, no matter how much people like myself in the Beta test adamantly insisted the game was no way ready for release, that some people, the fanboys, will adamantly insist on blindly trusting a developer to deliver what they HOPE will be great, which turns out, SH1TE...

"Did you try right-clicking on the entrances? That did it for me."

Really? What a FANTASTIC idea!!!! I'll have to buy a Lifetime subscription cause you have FIXED the game for me!!!

And the fact that Funcom NEVER responded to ANY mails or forum posting and no GM ever replied? Can I Right-Click that to make it work?!

Nub.

I quit because of two things:

1. I encountered a MAJOR game-stopping bug that would not allow any of my characters to enter the story instances.

2. I contacted Funcom's tech support many times, posted on their main forum, petitioned in-game, and even emailed Funcom's head office - I received NO replies, NOTHING.

Funcom has by far THE worst customer support in my many years of gaming - it simply does NOT exist.

And they fail to mention that after the time spent downloading; then the lengthy install, that the game can only be played in certain countries - not Japan in my case.

Arseholes can shove their shitty little game.

I agree, the best way to make me buy a game, even one I have downloaded 'illegally' is to make it very good quality as opposed to say Haze which is blatantly terrible quality.

If I cannot play a demo first, and then cannot play test a copy of a game or a pirated version, I WILL NOT BUY IT.

I have downloaded many a PC game, played it for literally five minutes, less than a demo, and uninstalled it - because there is so much crap out there not worth a penny.

What deserves my money, gets my money. Anything else is discarded.

Downloaded it in 90 minutes, installed in 15 minutes, logged in, spawned, spawn killed, respawned, spawn killed, respawned, spawn killed... ok... respawned, spawn killed, 5 minutes later, uninstalled.

Guinness Book of Records...

Seriously, this is THE most patched game in history surely?! And by a non-employee, a desolved company...

Yes it's a great game, but... I honestly think it has been patched enough;) You can play the game pretty much problem free, anything else is being a bit too nit-picky;)

In total agreement. Regardless of whether PC games are 'better' than console games (for some people) the industry itself, the medium itself is rife with problems.

And yes, MMORPG's like WoW are definitely damaging the PC platform. We don't need simple games like that that last years, we need high quality games like CoD4, Mass Effect etc. if we want to keep the industry moving, growing with major profits for ALL companies.

Wow!!!

I am ALL FOR IT!!!

MS needs a good f'ing kick in their greedy, lazy, apathetic arses.

Edit: I am not for boycotting the publishers and developers though, like they say on their webpage - that is just too far.

MS do not need more money than they already have or get. Gold membership is blatant greed, and that I am completely against.
