No LAN = no copies of the game sold AT ALL in my group. Instead of fighting piracy, they're promoting it.
How do you figure?
Very easy: if we were going to buy it to play on LAN parties and we can't play LAN, we are certainly not going to buy it. No, we don't have internet (and we don't need it, thank you) where we play every month.
But if someone pirates because they don't like the feature set, well, that's not really promoting piracy because pirating doesn't get what you want. It only proves you're a whiny baby.
Me, I won't pirate it, but some people no doubt will, out of spite. |

Be careful what you wish for.
Why?. If they release a broken POS like Ghostbusters, and then, when nobody buys it, point at us and say "See?. PC games don't sell!", I prefer that they don't release it for the PC at all.
And sorry, but StarCraft got where it got thanks in part to LAN support and the spawn CD option that allowed you to play LAN with friends using only one copy. Blizzard is pissing all over its players doing this. |

Way to show respect for PC gamers, Blizz. You can go and join the PCGA now, they'll welcome you with open arms.
Fuck you, Activision. First Ghostbusters and now this. Go release games for the consoles and leave us alone. Bastards.

Fuck them.
Let them contact Activision, since they seem to be nowadays the publisher most inclined to fuck their customers. A match made in heaven (though too late for Ghostbusters) |

Activision is saying FUCK YOU to us, so it's only fair that we say it to them.
It's a pity, I was looking forward to this only because Threewave was developing the multiplayer. I guess the DRM shit is the only multiplayer we're getting. |

I prefer the approach from the first CoH. They sell exactly the same, or more (the same people PLUS the people that didn't buy the expansions BECAUSE of SecuROM).
Their customers can play offline without logging in, they can play online logging in and get all the advantages, everyone is happy.
It doesn't make sense at all from the dev's perspective to have to authenticate to play Single Player / offline. Point to me a single pirate that has been unable to play because of the copy protection.
My friend can grab the last expansion, buy a few keys and unlock them just the same without having to go through Steam (except for downloading the game) or SecuROM. |

I want from them a patch for CoH that isn't utterly broken, and preferably one that does not take a year to make, like the last one.
And a bit of communication would be nice as well. We paid for their game and all, you know? |

Yeah, sure, like SecuROM is going to help the PC on anything. The only good report about piracy those bastards could make would be:
"We caused a lot of it these last years"
It's amazing. With SecuROM, the PCGA is now an even bigger joke. In very bad taste, though.
May God defend me from my friends; I can defend myself from my enemies. |

Relic does wonderful games, but:
- Relic Online doesn't work most of the time. - their patching process is pathethic (be it applying consecutive patches, downloading them or even trying to play without patching: it will force you to do it). - their timing is pathethic as well (this patch was expected last summer!) - their network code is the worst I have seen: my group doesn't even try anything other than LAN since we'll never be able to finish games with more than 4 players, and also a player with low FPS will slow everybody! - their choice of DRM is appaling (only StarForce is worse than SecuSHIT).
The fact that we go through all of that speaks volumes of how good CoH is. Here's waiting to Tales of Valor and hoping that at least some of that is fixed.
