The first Hinterland is still a little buggy and isn't very polished. About a $10 - $15 game.
Not much info on this expansion(?). Might be worth $20. Its kinda like a 3D Majesty/simple RPG. |

This might work for certain types of games. Diablo. Won't work for FPS games, screen picture changes too much in response to user input.
If you already have users paying for expensive hardware, why would the publisher want to start paying for it? Think the monthly fee would be high. Streaming a game might have a market niche. I'm not interested in paying monthly for a laggy experience playing old out of date games. Might get some to bite. Just not me.

| Wrong news title. The press release itself says that this is the US game release. "In addition, Premium Subscription service will be enabled allowing players to experience the full game past the Free to Play zone restrictions." |

| I just could not like this game. Controls are clunky and aggravating. Missions were not fun. Didn't try the multiplayer. |

Actually Sins and Demigod were assisted in their development by Stardock. They contributed developers or something.
Elemental: War of Magic is kinda hard to get excited about with a 2/15/2010 release date. Even with it being a MoM successor.
Wonder if the the new studio will be working on the the MMO RPG type game Stardock has mentioned.

Hellgate was released in worse-than-beta form.
I was only in the Hellgate beta. How was the release worse than the beta?
No surprise the game tanked, gameplay wasn't that fun. Simulating a FPS doesn't produce the fun of a FPS. Hellgate, Tabula Rasa...

| I've spent some time on the Desktop Tower Defense flash games. But wasn't think of purchasing Defense Grid until I tried the demo. Its very addictive. |

I can't see playing L4D as much as I played TF2. However, its quite a fun game.
The Lobby system is aggravating. So don't use it, enable the console and then bring up the server browser. Its then easy to join a game of the right type, right number of players and a good ping. |

There are tactics even when just playing 4 co-op against the AI. If your team isn't playing together, you get eaten for lunch on Expert difficulty.
In versus mode, 4 on 4. The zombie players should come up with lots of interesting tactics.

I look at game prices as a dollar per hours of enjoyment thing.
How many hours are you going to be playing L4D? Compare that to movie ticket, DVD purchase or rental prices.
L4D should be good for hundreds of hours of fun!

The translation has some mistakes here and there. Usually a word off or two. Its not a major issue.
I must also state that this is a really fun game. Much better than Heroes of Might and Magic V. Its looks like it will take me several weeks to complete one game.
