Wow, exciting news about your belly ache, Blue. Please inform us the next time you check out your solid waste for chunks of corn.

Damn, you know you are getting old when you start complaining about every ache and pain you have.

2K Boston didn't make Tribes: Vengeance. That was the Aussie studio.

Well if you want to be really nitpicky it was Irrational Games in Australia. They weren't "2K" then.

IG Australia, IG Boston, who cares. They both seemed to have the task of taking Sierra/VUG games and dumbing them down for the masses. The end result actually was watered down games that didn't appeal to either the hardcore fan or the casual gamer. They killed both series that they were hired to bring to a larger audience.

CK: You know, we have to rely on our hardcore audience, and expand that to a bigger audience. So, you don't want to alienate your hardcore audience. And, often, the hardest thing for us is... we always hit this thing, we're like, "Oh, these guys are dumbing it down for the console gamers!"

And that's not what we're doing

Sure, you didn't dumb down Tribes Vengeance or Swat 4 for the masses. Right.

Chris Kline is the same guy that admitted he never played Swat 3 even though he was a lead developer on Swat 4. Maybe if he cared about the "hardcore" audience he would have actually tried the original before working on the sequel?

Yes Dmitri_M, I knew you would be here waving your Arma fanboy flag soon enough.

If you actually played Arma online you would know how riddled with bugs it is and crashes/disconnects every hour or so.

Arma is riddled with so many bugs it is almost unplayable right now. You can't play longer than about an hour without the server or client crashing.

Arma's actual gameplay is great, too bad it was coded by monkeys wearing hockey gloves.

Hopefully Opflash 2 will retain the gameplay of Opflash and be more stable than Arma.

Regarding the Fallout 3 preview:

I smell bullshit. Look at this sentence from the preview:

"The radio-station idea may have been pioneered by other open-world games"

That sounds a lot like a PR department wrote that. What game review website would be afraid to say GTA? Only a PR department would not want to use a brand name for fear of copyright infringement or negative brand association.

Who writes for Gamespot now? The game's PR department sends them prepared material directly?

Why do they think that we would want to buy a mindless console game for a PC?

I saw it available for download and couldn't even be bothered pirating it. 1985 and the age of button mashing fighting games has long gone.

The one really annoying bug I had with San Andreas was the infamous sound bug. When it rained in the game a lot of the sounds would disappear ie. voice-overs, car sounds.

> You know GTA4 runs at 1280x720 and has 4x FSAA on at all times, right? Nobody would call that "low resolution."

I would. Welcome to 2005.

> Hey guys guess what. If you can afford a PS3 or Xbox 360, you can play GTA4 RIGHT NOW!

Why would I want to play it in low res when I can wait a little and play it in full glorious quality the way it was meant to be played?

If the game is coming out on the PC I am gonna buy it and pray to hell they don't leave the game with unfixed bugs like they did with San Andreas.
