News Comments > ARMA II Movie Follow-up

the game itself looks much improved.

Really? All they did was add a few new vehicles and modify the GUI. It looks like a fan made addon.

Everything about this looks like it will please the console and BF2 crowds more than Arma1.

Personally I don't think it looks much different than Arma 1. Worth $50? Don't think so.

I enjoyed GRAW 1 and 2 on the PC except for the massive bugs. The gameplay was fairly bubblegum and mindless but the bugs took away from the enjoyment. We can barely get through a single map while playing online without a disconnect or a crash to desktop.

An excellent well thought out retort that reflects upon your original opinion.

Both Assassin's Creed and R6 Vegas are poorly optimized and buggy console ports. I see that your standards for PC gaming are very low. Are you enjoying the fake anti-aliasing with Vegas2 that you get (the blurring)?

A short list of incredibly buggy games that I have come across: Rainbow 6 Three, Rainbow Six Lockdown, R6 Vegas 1, Ghost Recon Advanced Warrior 1, Ghost Recon Advanced Warrior 2, Silent Hunter 3, Silent Hunter 4, all of the later Splinter Cell games, IL-2 Sturmovik (as much as I loved that game it was buggy and had a really awkward interface).

I have since stopped buying UBI games. Too many are left buggy and abandoned.

Ubisoft games are usually very polished

Are you kidding me? You obviously haven't played a UBI game on the PC in the last 8 years.

a game where they 'consulted' individuals who are affiliated with terrorists for added realism

You see the ignorance is the problem. Iraq had absolutely nothing to do with 9/11 and idiotic people like you still believe the lies.

America illegally invaded another country. Who are the terrorists in this case?

It is UBIsoft. That means they felt it didn't have enough bugs in it and they sent it back to have more added.

News Comments > ARMA Beta Patch
2. Re: ARMA Beta Patch Apr 24, 2009, 18:58 Donkey_Punch

Yes, it is appreciated but everyone forgets that it has taken them 3 years to release patches that don't do much. Most of the time they seem to be fixing things they didn't fix properly in previous patches. Some patches screw up things more than they fix ie the 1.14 was horrible for me in terms of crashes.

Instead of wasting time on adding in-game voice communication (Team Speak still works better) they should have concentrated on fixing existing content.

The community has been split down the middle for the last 3 years! Half the people use the beta patch and the other half use the last patch that they released a Linux dedicated server. They REALLY need to concentrate on getting a dedicated Linux beta out at the SAME TIME.

As it should be since most PC gamers are unapologetic pirates anyways.

Do you know how many people I know with mod chips or soft mods in their consoles? What do you think that last P stands for in PSP?

Guild Wars is like WoW with all the fun bits ripped out of it. You certainly get what you pay for.

There's always Random Dude #39842 who has a problem with ANY PC game, but Fallout 3 is pretty stable and smooth for the vast majority of people.

There is always some random idiot who thinks because the game works perfectly for him that it works fine for the majority. The game crashes constantly. Who are you fooling?

Is the online game that we have heard rumors about?

They want you to pay a monthly fee for bugs and more bugs. No thanks!

Ah crap. The cover system is exactly like R6 Vegas. That sucks. All you have to do is duck and you automatically heal.

What a shame. Mafia 1 was so good too.

Wii Software Sales Decline 'Disconcerting'.

The gimmick of the controllers was cute for first little while but the console is so underpowered. The vast majority of the games released are absolute shit.
