Skipping the obvious translation site gaffs, you are correct insofar as online-only games go. Any attempt to do the same with a single-player or LAN-based game had best be met with stout and quite vocal non-purchase by the community.
I have no doubt that Bobby Kotick dreams of monetizing every single transaction within the Diablo III universe, even taking a cut of player-to-player trades and transactions on top of any player-to-game transactions. It would be like taking the EA Madden model two steps further, something I'm certain Kotick would never dream of letting by untested. The man is like a cockroach with a hoarding issues when it comes to finding ways to squeeze even more money out of players for things that used to be free. |

| I would love to see another game based on the Jade Empire IP. However, now that EA owns BioWare, I doubt that the resulting game would be worth playing, especially on the PC. |

You need to go right into A Dance With Dragons or you'll end up a jaded and cynical wretch, like Creston. I quite enjoyed the first two books, but you can only take character stupidity for the sake of furthering your plot so far before it just becomes retarded.
George RR Martin crossed that line and kept on running a few more miles at the end of Storm of Swords. It completely ruined the whole series for me.
If the old croaker ever finishes it, I'll read the whole thing only if (spoilers) Danearys (?) and her Dragons murder every living thing on that entire inbred continent.
Creston While I agree that there have been an awful lot of incredibly bad/fatal decisions made by major characters and an awful lot of quite contrived character removals, I'm not quite as demanding in the ultimate resolution as you are. There are going to be seven books, which means George has roughly 2000 pages to wrap up quite a few story threads. |

| I'll wait and see just what Microsoft comes up with for Xbox TV before deciding if it will be worth it. That's going to depend heavily on the cost/content ratio. |

| Since there are several studies showing the benefits and only one group of researchers that cannot duplicate the studies' results, I would be inclined to think that the group attempting to duplicate the results is missing something in their methodology and not the reverse. |

This is the future of gaming. The future of gaming as envisioned by EA, Ubi and Actiblizzard, but not all publishers. At least not for the time being... |

| Many of the people that buy used games would not buy a new game at the $50 - $60 price point publishers seem to love, so a used game sale does not translate into a lost new game sale. Quantic Dream did not "lose" $13m. They may have lost 10% - 20% of that, but nowhere near all of it, despite their claims to the contrary. |

| Don't be surprised when the original language, or a version thereof which grants EA the same ability to resell your information, returns in the future. |
