After all that 3D Realms has done, and more importantly what they have not, I don't think Scott Miller should be telling anyone how to use their money.
EA should not look to acquire anything other than a profit, something that has eluded them for quite some time.

Courtney Love getting a complete and coherent sentence out would be miraculous, so I doubt she said anything of the sort directly, but what she babbled may have been interpreted as her now saying Cobain would have been cool with GH5.

Nah, I don't need a sandbox to have fun... sandbox is overrated. They learned a lot transitioning from Mass Effect 1 to Mass Effect 2, and hopefully they do the same with Dragon Age 2.

That would be criminal.

I just hope they don't do to Dragon Age what they did to Mass Effect.

Desperate times call for desperate measures, yes, but even this measure is not desperate enough to work.

They value development for its own sake, rather than just trying to put something in a box and relying on marketing for sales

This is the part EA has continued to get wrong for the last three years. It's why EA has continued to lose money and why they will continue to lose money. Yes, they have a few (very few) titles that sell well, but those few fail to make up for the preponderance of crap that EA shovels out on an annual basis.

No more Ubi for me. This is about as retarded as it gets.

If the service is only necessary when you start the game, why do you need to have an active Internet connection for the entire time you are playing?

Maybe they should look into automated unit testing tools to handle this stuff for them, since their game is so big and complex. Puh-leez! That has to be the lamest excuse for a bug that I've heard in 20 years as a programmer.

PhysX does not show up in screenshots. It is a physics system, not an imaging system. You can't see physics in a static image.

Given the results of Spiderman 3, I wouldn't want Raimi to do anything game-related until after he has redeemed himself from that rancid turd of a movie. It made money, yes, but it sucked donkey balls compared to the first two Spiderman films.

The reason EA's business goes unaddressed is that EA is lousy at making money. They haven't turned a profit in ages and Jeff Brown knows it. I'm not sure what EAMobile is the world leader of, but it isn't mobile gaming.

What a whiny little turd.

Anyone expecting work at a retail store to be anything other than work at a retail store is either still in high school or a moron. And why would anyone with an IQ higher than dirt's think a job at GameStop was a job in or a pathway to a job in the gaming industry? That's like thinking a job at Best Buy is a way to get a job at Sony designing electronics or a job at McDonald's will prepare you to own a real restaurant.

This is what we worry about. It's great that the EFF is catching this particular loophole, but as more lobbyists get their hands on net neutrality regulations, they're going to slip in more and more loopholes like this that will turn what may have great intentions into something else entirely.

This is exactly why I've been so vocal in opposing Net Neutrality here on Bluesnews for so long. You are going to get f***ed by it. Do you really believe that the government is going to act on your behalf? Keep dreaming in your fantasy paternalistic gaga land and we'll suffer for it. Stop advocating for Network Neutrality. Just stop it.

Net Neutrality isn't the problem. Exceptions to and exemptions from Net Neutrality are the problem. What it sounds like is that you are against codifying Net Neutrality, unless I am mistaken and you actually want ISPs to block some protocols, charge content providers to allow their content to reach subscribers and basically do whatever they want whenever they want.

Preorder ME2 from D2D and your credit card will be charged immediately regardless of release date. I learned that when I preordered Dragon Age: Origins from them.
