harcore, I imagine in the half a million interviews and discussions after the game comes out, there will be many. However asking for it now is, well, like asking any other question about crysis, not likely to get answered any time soon.

theyarecomingforyou, you had problems with oblivion with that?! I dunno.. maybe it really was because I am using a Q6600, but when I got my 8800gtx ultra and ran oblivion, it had zero problems with graphics at full. Infact I had to keep combing through the config files and config menus to make sure it really was set with all graphics high, but (and this was in vista, with the bioshock drivers) oblivion was a push over for my computer. It also isn't all that pretty anymore. I liked bioshock more, but then I love bioshocks decor style and I'm a total sucker for water effects.

yea, saw my client telling me it was available for a few days now. This dosnt mean much, most of the hard data for the patch wont change between tweaking, so they could still revice the patch with tiny file updates should further beta testing be needed.

Re: Mobile Games |

mobile PHONE games imo are never going to be a blip on the radar, atleast for US peeps. Apparently in japan, they can be all the rage (squares FF7 extension on it was a mega multi part series of phone games), but IMO the hardware is to simplistic for anything more then creating something to pass time when you are stuck some place.
Mobile game systems IMO are the same way, however its obvious some people are easily entertained, hence they are actually able to make MONEY on the game boy/DS/PSP. imo the psp is the best of the bunch since it has more potential (far more storage and much better 3d capabilities, this is why the PSX owned the N64 and Saturn), I think the 3d could be beefed up a little bit more. Its a little under the bar of being able to create an immersive world. Also the original price hurt.
The psp2 should be about where mobile gaming should be, or hell maybe nintendo might actually bring out a game boy with a 21st century graphics chip.

it took tooth and nail to get people to install SP2, now this idiot is going off like people are flocking in droves to get SP3? why? what for? Who in their right mind would consider patching windows with alpha/beta Microsoft software let alone "release" versions?!
Leak all the beta patches you want... I'm not gonna blow up my installation trying it out. You do know there is no such thing as "testing" the patching of the release version of SP3 over ANY of the beta SP3's?
hardcore, your logic is flawed in one way. Its called aftermarket support. If MS drops support for their software as soon as the next big thing comes out, it will scare people away because they don't want to buy a product that no longer gets focus once the next product is close to release. It may work like that in the game world, but in the buisness world, more money is fanned around..bathed in..burned..ect.

Ray, read it all again. the reason for the discount was a) SK said they would be releasing their games on all the next gen consoles/pc, and b) the contract WAS signed before the engine was complete, and the contract states that the code is incomplete, and while they will hand over the code to planned features as they are complete, they are under no "binding contract" if for some reason a planned feature does not make it. Pretty normal stuff really, you discount your engine in hopes of gathering a set of first gen games to show off your engine so you can better market it. Even better when your demo games are on all the latest systems.
Sounds like SK is trying to screw epic, how they intended to get away with it is anyones guess.

Why does it matter a trial comes with the dvd? What idiot pays for the dvd just for the trial (ie who would weigh the buy/pass because of the trial)?
If they were smarter, they would give the things away.. or atleast allow those allready signed up a key or 3 to give out.

saddly sounds like a disapointing trend, dirt requires SSE3 (I think that was it) wich nixed my xp2800 barton core, even though I have a 7800GS OC.
Oh well, when unreal or crisis is released.. I am going to build a mother of a system for it, one that wont need to be upgraded for many years accept for maybe a new vid card down the line.

this does seem a bit confusing though. as a general rule, nvidia/ati have never directly supported their laptop gpu's. Now most current vendors like dell, you can simply modify the .inf on any current driver and it works fine, infact this was what I did I belive when I tried out vista on my laptop with a mobile x1300. I think I cranked out a score of 2.0 with the default drivers, and boostedit up to a 3.0 with current radeon drivers.
Same thing for XP though, I need to hack the .inf file in order to get any rescent drivers to install. Otherwise, I would normal be forced to use dells drivers.
