Your personal attacks and government employee level of knowledge pretty much negate the worth of anything you may have to say. Way to not address anything I mentioned and resort to personal attacks yourself. Class A hypocrite.
Anyway, what was wrong with what I said? You pay money you get the game. It isn't renting, as renting requires continual payments. People just like spouting sensational shit for the sake of it. I'm sorry, did you say something? I wasn't listening. |

In other words you're paying $50 to rent a game. No, asshole - you're paying $50 to buy the game. The only difference is that you can't resell or transfer the game to anyone else, though you can't with services like Steam anyway. This is a complete non-issue, especially for PC gamers. I mean, how many people honestly sell their games on or trade them in? Do you? Or is this more about the principle than the practicalities? Your personal attacks and government employee level of knowledge pretty much negate the worth of anything you may have to say. |

That is it's only use Its = possessive form of it. It's = IT IS
It bewilders me that people that have no mastery of the English language get jobs representing companies in public. Yes, not only can you not get your stories straight about how many times this game can be activated, but you also look twice as douchy for incorrectly using "it's" in a sentence.
Oh well, I wasn't planning on buying this anyway. I guess I am among the small percentage of gamers that thought Bioshock was crap. (Which sucked, because I liked System Shock 1 & 2 a lot.) |

Fuck that, combine your teams and fix the fucking game then! Also, you know that they probably had it in the original game in most cases, and then chopped it out so they can "develop it" later and charge extra.
Oh, and the fact that a large percentage of DLC is shit. That bothers me too.

It's a tautology: He's saying that by having no console, it will be impossible to hack the game via the console. Tough to argue with, but it doesn't mean the the game will be unhackable. It's like saying "People don't have wings, so they are unable to fly, in that way." It's a meaningless attempt to put a positive spin on something that doesn't really need a spin at all.
Oh wait, I forgot all the doomsayers. NO CONSOLE?!?!! FUCK YOU< YOU HATE US PC GAMERZ!

Yeah, unfortunately the patch does not fix the incredibly shitty driving control, nor does it fix the incredibly retarded mission designs.
But my 5.1 sound works at least. |

| Ugh. Just took a nice look at their website. Very nice low poly, low res models. Gee, where have I seen those before? And the crap armor for the science team and commandos. Yeah, that was in the show. Oh, wait... |

Stargate games are cursed. I love the show, but no game has ever been released commercially. They all sink and fail.
A FPS would be awesome, but Stargate Alliance got canned. A FPS RPG like Fallout 3 (but with faster shooting action) would be cool.
Stargate Worlds was/is shit, and based on that, I sincerely doubt that Firesky can release a decent game, period. |

Creston you know what Vaporware is right? Alan Wake is coming out next year I believe. Alan Wake has been coming out next year for 5 years. Hence: vaporware. They can say it is "done" all they want, until you can buy it, I don't believe it. (Remember - what, 2 years ago? - when Duke had gameplay footage come out, and they were almost "done" with the game? Yeah. Where is that game now?) |

It was a nice surprise to wake up and find the game had launched when it was actually supposed to! Yeah, except not really. Most of us waiting on the Midnight launch found out that it released closer to 1AM EST. (Not that I didn't expect that, Valve always screws the pooch on release)
Loving the game though. My major bitch about L4D was lack of weapon variety. So many weapons now. Love it! |

Played the beta for a while. Blatant WoW rip-off. Why the fuck would I pay to play this game, when I already have time invested in WoW? It's the same game, for Christ's sake. (Except there are no dungeons or anything really in game yet....)
People get all defensive because this is "their" game, but seriously, there is no reason to play this if you have ever played WoW. (Or if you hate WoW, you won't like this either.)

Disagree. EVERYONE that I have spoke to that is playing it on PC it pissed.....but there is nothing they can do, so they are eating their cake. They could have not purchased it. That's the route I took. The only time I pay over $50 for a PC game is when it comes with extra shit, like the WoW CEs or the Fallout 3 CE. (And usually I won't buy games that are not on sale, unless it's a "have to have" game. Waited months for Prototype, Sacred 2, etc...) |

I wanted to comment on that PC pricing anyway. PC games in general have been one of the few products over the past 20 years to not see significant price increases. This has nothing do with MW2's pricing and any perception about what you are or aren't getting for $60. You could argue that about any damn game you've purchased over the past 30 years and whether it was worth the money or not. How much was a ticket to the movies in 1990? $4.50? I think I paid about $11 last time I went. Imagine if video games saw that kind of increase! You can only charge what the market will bare. It has long been decided that $50 is about the mac max people will pay for games. Consoles justified an increase due to licensing fees. There are no such fees on PC, hence PC has been $10 less. You can only charge what people are willing to pay. Look at VHS, DVD, and now Blu-Ray. You don't get an install base worth supporting until the players come down to the $150 mark, and the movies the $20 mark. Sure, you make money from early adopters, but you won't stay afloat unless the masses pick it up.
Mac? That's a weird slip up...

Seriously, people needs to get their heads out of their asses. This is a good game, it will sell extremly well because of the good reviews and because it is MW2. Seriously, COD has always been shit single player, IMO. The only reason I played COD4 and 5 so much was the multiplayer. Fuck that up for PC, and I am not buying it. I don't care if it is $10 or $50, if the multi sucks, no sale. |

So you need to have ordered the game to get the demo?
Isn't the whole point of demos to "try before you buy"? No. The demo will be released soon for everyone to try. Pre-orders got the demo earlier as a "reward" for pre-ordering.
Do try to keep up. |
