Oh no, only 720p? It's a tiny screen with no video out. Not really an issue.
I honestly think people are just "discovering" things that they bill as bad because they have nothing else to publish about the Vita right now. $120 for a 32GB card is insane and retarded. Yes, just as the 360 HDD was priced way above HDDs of comparable size. Someone will make cheaper ones. It's not a surprise, as companies have been making proprietary memory for consoles and handhelds since the late 80s. |

That was amazing. His Robot Band version of The Beautiful People by Marilyn Manson is incredible as well.
Also, agree on the Starship Troopers remake. The original movie really had little to do with the book other than the Facist regime themes. The book features other aliens as well as power armor clad soldiers. Also, any movie starring Casper Van Dien couldn't possibly have been done right in the first place. |

| If they made a peripheral that was just the touchscreen and adaptive buttons and sold it for $100 with no branding, I'd be all over that. But $250 for a keyboard that only has those two features that I like? Hell no. I prefer my Merc stealth for gaming, not some pimped out laptop style keyboard. |

If you bought it on a console you're missing half the experience. I love it on PC, but some of the maps are not good for 64 players. Metro & Crossing are meat grinder/spam fests with more than 32. (Actually, metro sucks for anything but rush) They needed to open up some of the other maps like they did with Caspian. |

But, like you said, early access is soon. I quit the beta so I wouldn't be bored when it came out. I'll probably wait for the pandas to try wow again. |

People asked for content, so they changed the entire game around and didn't add any content. |

Strangely they didn't show up the first time I rechecked, then I searched again and the link was there again. Thanks for the link. |

I'm actually passing on this one. Which is odd, because I love CEs. Maybe it's the fact that they keep charging more and more but giving less and less. I love the Uncharted series, but I feel kind of cheesed that they charged me $99 for a CE and now want me to pay another $16 for the soundtrack. Skyrim is the same way.
I have to give props to Blizzard for including all the basic shit when making a CE: Soundtrack, making of, maps, books, etc.
(Not that this one doesn't have a soundtrack, just saying I'm kind of burnt on CEs right now.) |

ASeven wrote on Nov 14, 2011, 16:54: Well, right at the start of their article they say this:
We are receiving information from a number of gamers who have received forum bans for a variety of reasons who are finding they’re unable to play Battlefield 3 (or indeed any other game tied into the EA user account), and worse, when they try to contact EA for help sorting this out, they are either ignored or told it’s tough. So what’s going on?
So maybe that's why they are putting so much weight in James' story, because they also have many more like his, judging from their second paragraph. Do you know how many cheating bastards play BF3? I wouldn't doubt that you could find thousands of people who have had their accounts banned because of cheating in multiple games. And I sincerely doubt that any of them would actually man up and tell the truth about why they got banned. They'd all claim to be wronged by EA, even though they know they deserved it.
I'm not saying that it isn't possible that it happened just the way James says it did. I'm saying it's piss poor journalism to post what someone tells you in an email as fact with no proof. Oh, shit, gotta run, the aliens just landed on my roof! Please tell the Times and have them report it! |

James is free to write in whatever bullshit he likes and RPS posts it up as fact. I find it hard to believe that he got his entire account banned due to a forum posting. Like others have said here, there's more to the story that we aren't hearing. What exactly are you expecting to hear from an EA representative, and how are you going to know that whatever the rep. says is true?
Honestly ... don't bother. That's a false dilemma, there is more than the 2 extremes. RPS could report things like this Xbox report and they should not report what James says as fact. They report "No such discussion had taken place. No such “repeated” offense had occurred." as fact, whereas it is presumably solely based on what James has told them. Thank you! I like it when people can actually use logic, it makes me think for a second that maybe we aren't doomed as a race.
Then I see my neighbors racing down the road on sleds that are sitting on top of skateboards and think "Nope, we're fucked." |

ASeven wrote on Nov 14, 2011, 13:29: Update on RPS on this:
Update: James explains he was polite and courteous with the EA Live Chat person, who had pointed him toward the email form to request further help. He filled this in, again politely he says, and the next day received an email in response saying,
“Please note that your account [email] has been permanently terminated from the Electronic Arts Online service for violating the terms of services. The account will no longer be accessible in any way, and all property, items, and characters associated currently are or will soon be deleted.”
And the in field explaining why?
“This action was necessary due to the repeated nature of the offense on the account. We regret having to take this final step, but it is entirely necessary on behalf of protecting the Electronic Arts Online community. The violation has already been discussed above so further communication on this matter won’t be entertained. We thank you for your understanding on all the statutes within the Terms of Service, and they still contractually apply to you as per the original agreement, especially the sections regarding terminated members of the service.”
No such discussion had taken place. No such “repeated” offense had occurred. Which makes the refusal to even discuss this ban somewhat problematic. Since he received this email, James has not been able to access any of his Origin games online. Note that RPS, like most of their media buddies, is taking people entirely on their word about this shit. James is free to write in whatever bullshit he likes and RPS posts it up as fact. I find it hard to believe that he got his entire account banned due to a forum posting. Like others have said here, there's more to the story that we aren't hearing. |
