I've had coloured keyboards but I've found only the red led isn't distracting and helps. Seeing as I always eat and drink at my keyboard I destroy them pretty fast so now silicone covers are far more important to me.

Makes sense. There's a reason cockpits have red lighting - your eyes have more red cones and can therefore see better in less red light. In order to see well in blue light, it needs to be brighter and will blow out your night vision.

Part of the reason why I hate the damn blue LEDs on everything. Yeah, I like blue much more than red, but in the dark those blue LEDs are blinding.

Heh, the stereo I put in my Jeep has two light modes - Red and Blue. I never use the blue because it's absolutely blinding at night. On a CAR stereo. Hello, genius designer, what was the point of including the blue LEDs? Oh, they're more visible in the day. Too bad switching the light mode involves using the remote to dig 6 layers deep into a menu.

Oh, and the default mode is blue. Because...they want people to crash?

Yeah, you're right. Because America has zero influence on us or the rest of the planet. Wow, spoken like an American who has never been outside of America. Or quite possibly his own town and/or state.

This.

carmelized meat/tomato sauce smells sorta like chocolate... its an earthy sweetness

I used to come home from work a lot thinking my wife was making waffles or cookies. Nope, just dinner, but it sure smelled like waffles/cookies. It's weird when it's meat.

How strange, I burned the shit out of my pasta sauce yesterday when I forgot about it, sigh. Yesterday was a bad culinary day for me. Really off my game. Shoulda just went out for dinner.

And Subway...ewwww.

And I agree, Nye should have never debated that clown in the first place. The fact that even he gives those hillbillies credence does harm. Lincoln should have let the south go. They'd be happy living in their shacks in Jesusland while we'd be happy living in a Star Trek like utopia of the future.

Yes, but are they "better"?

Well, in all honesty the only iMax movie I ever remember seeing was Planet of the Apes in Orlando. The screen was amazing, the picture was amazing, the movie was...less than amazing.

Now will they jump on the next fad and tell us that curved movie theaters are better?

3D is a joke, I don't think 1 person here said "this will turn out well".

Uh, iMax has been doing fine for decades. Their screens are curved.

3D is awesome when it is done right. Avatar, The Hobbit, Tin Tin, Wreck It Ralph - All done in native 3D, all look great in the theater and on my 55" LG. Movies done in 3D in post like Titans, Resident Evil, etc all suck because "making it 3D" in post is nothing like having filmed it (or programed it) in 3D.

But to each his own. Some people don't like 3D movies, and that's fine. I happen to love them, and I can't wait until the tech advances far enough for a glass-less solution to be practical.

BTW, Uncharted 3 was fantastic in 3D. Unfortunately, my LG is a passive system (I like the theater style glasses better than the bulky powered shutter glasses) and 3D games SUCK on passive systems.

I don't recall them ever making it seem more than 6v6, but I also don't pay close attention to games that are well over a year out.
From what I remember of the videos from E3 last year, though, it looked like Call of Duty. To the extent that we all called it Call of Duty with Mechs. Call of Duty is historically 6v6 (with Big Game options that aren't much played.)

Modern Warfare 2 was derided because it took the total number of PC players per server down to 18 from 32. It hasn't been historically 6vs6, they have just gradually pared it down to nothing from what it was. Why? So they could make smaller maps that are quicker to churn out while removing the need for servers.

And in the BF series you can always choose to have smaller servers. The maps shrink based on the number of players. So those of us who love 64 players can play, but people who love 32, 24, or 16 can also play.

Titanfall has limited itself to only those who love small player counts.

Last of Us was great, but they really don't need a sequel.

Destiny on PC? Man, it's Bungie. They gave up on PC back when they sold out Halo. We may get a shit port two or 3 years later.

Bullshit no one would be complaining, everyone would have just been complaining sooner because it has nothing to do with expectations, it's because "more = better" is the pervasive mentality.

And I have yet to see a BF4 map where 64 players is too much. Lockdown is pushing it, but it's nowhere near as bad as Metro was with even 32 players in anything but Rush mode.

Not sure if troll.

And every olympics this happens. Not just in Russia. And they also force out the homeless and poor.

You should read up what Rio is doing to people in the favelas near the stadium sites. Warning: It's not pretty.

Yeah, Brazil puts on a nice face for tourists, but I talk to a couple of people that live there and they say it is pretty damn scary. These are guys that live in the "good" section of Rio. The police basically do whatever the hell they feel like, the politicians control everything, and the criminals are hard to distinguish from anybody else.

I so want to go to Rock in Rio, but all of the stories I have heard from people that went and people that live there just put me off.

I remember the Olympics being a big deal when I was a a kid. Now it's a big deal only if you are into watching them, and the rest of us barely know when they are happening anymore.

They seem like they are happening more frequently now because back in 94 they started having the summer and winter portions every two years, alternating. It used to be that they were both in the same year before that. (92 Olympics was Winter 92 and Summer 92, Then Winter was in 94 and Summer was in 96)

More players is not inherently better. In fact 64 is too much in a lot of Battlefield maps. If they think 6v6 works best with the way they've designed the game, you could at least wait to try it out before you start bashing it for no reason. If every player in Battlefield had their own 2-story robot that could also act autonomously, it'd be a huge clusterfuck; gameplay and network connectivity both would be completely unmanageable. They would have zero destructibility at the very least.

Nobody would be complaining if they had made clear in the beginning that it was 6 vs 6. Nobody would be complaining if the player limit was 6 vs 6 and there weren't more than twice that number of AI on the field.

I don't know. Some people genuinely like it. The guys at Penny Arcade say it's great. Of course, their taste in games is not mine, and I usually don't like a lot of the games that they do.

The first previews looked epic. Huge battles with foot soldiers and mechs. Then we find out that 90% of the battlefield was AI. What? Look at videos from BF4. Huge battlefields with foot soldiers and vehicles blasting away and ALL of them are players.

Maybe it will be fun, but I won't pay a dime for it unless I get to try it first.

Guitars and Drums (pre)recorded. Vocals live. Hmmm. Its a shame that it wasnt the other way around. Anthony has got to be one of the shittiest successful frontman vocalists alive. His recorded stuff is pretty good, but man does he suck live. He cant hold a note to save his life...

I've often heard that about him. But then again, what singer can? Other than Maynard Keenan, I haven't heard a singer that sounds as good live as they do on the studio albums. Scott Weiland sounded pretty good.

Bruce Dickinson can sing as well if not better live than in the studio, Y'all. And he can still do it today at the age of 55.

While running full tilt across the stage, jumping monitors, and waving the union jack. The guy has lungs of iron.
