Greenlit games should let you play it for free for two days to try it out while sandboxing the game so it can't fuck your Windows install.

Well I mean its up to you of course but you can get 60fps from a lesser card in most titles, especially if you back off Ultra settings/detail maxes. There are of course outlier titles so its hard to account for everything. In general 1080p isn't very demanding and I'm sure there will be a 960 at some point too for 1080p configs. This kind of card is better for a 1440p+ type setup IMO.

Your advice applies to novice or low end gamers. I don't agree with this for the more demanding 1080p gamers. For 1080p @ 120+hz we certainly need cards like these new ones. Also many people are sensitive to framerate dips so in their case a faster card makes a difference. Also people buy newer cards for upcoming games that will be much more demanding @ 1080p, especially at higher/est quality settings. 1080p can still be a good resolution for these high end cards!

They probably bought it right off the .buy site. Now I'm trying to find a product entry on Amazon to buy Amazon. I wonder what that page would look like.

Is it legit? On my headphones I hear a lot of bass when the animals respond, which is not how it sounds in real life. Yes I've been in the wilds with coyotes yapping and howling like that. They can be close to you and you won't know it.

I found the one quests where you murder turtles for medicinal value to be offensive. Even a Korean game should not do that in Korea considering the senseless slaughter of animals around the world that causes so many animal populations to disappear when a sugar pill would probably be just as effective.

I've played it and found it uninspired so far. The quests and loot are dull. The graphics are okay. I have no interest to craft a home or boat. What else can be crafted? Weaps/armour? I keep wanting to like an MMO but...

Also why did it take them this long to come out with this? It's been two years since the Snowden revelations.

They hadn't publically lied about the program for a little awhile and got twitchy. Gotta keep practicing!

I lol'd.

The will of the people overwhelmingly is for cheap, fast, reliable internet.

Yes we do. I doubt municipal BB would usually be cheap, fast or reliable and almost never all three at the same time. And once you have a government providing this sort of 'service' they're near impossible to reign in some fiscal or service accountability. It's just another monopoly that can hurt a better functioning market. They won't care that their routers reboot every twenty minutes and that packet loss is atrocious. They won't have to care. Their jobs will be secure and you won't be able to do much about it except be forced to pay for it through some new tax that keeps going up every few years.

Since the local government will control municipal BB, it will give the local police another way to spy and monitor you since it's the same government. Instead of practicing sensible security they can use any security issue as a reason to fine you or arrest you or worse. That is how they think.

That said, there are and have been for some time, private (non profit I think) companies that provide free wireless broadband in many areas. I think it can be done successfully by the private sector in various ways. I'm all for that since it doesn't force (through violence or threat of violence) other people to pay for it.

Yeah I found sub level 30 to be grindy and well, boring. The quests were boring and not voice acted. There was talk that it rewards exploration but I didn't see much of that. I want to like it or find something fun about it but didn't, and I don't care that much for crafting either. Spend a couple hours working to craft a weap or something might be fun, or not. But I liked reading Trev's post too.

some of these comments seemed to emphasize freedom for consumers while others advocated freedom for ISPs, two positions seemingly at odds with one another.

Only at odds if the duopoly is allowed to continue. Once much more open competition is allowed then freedom for ISP's would include freedom for new ISP's to offer non-prioritized traffic and possibly out-compete the monopolistic dinosaur ISP's we have now.

All that said, the I still think issue has been blown well out of proportion. The N.N. issue is bordering on mass hysteria.

Yes your future game will turn you in to the FBI Online Game Enforcement Center should it deem your behavior deviant. Militarized eff bee eye police in black nazi helmets will bust your door down, taze you, pepper spray you, shoot your dog and then hold you for questioning. Murica!!

Seriously though, this is entirely the WRONG entity to even approach or have involved in this sort of poor game behavior deterrent. Really, I think these devs are ignorant to the actual nature of whom they're building this sort of relationship. I can't stress this enough that it's terrible nazi-sounding PR.

Reagan was a moderate, but I believe he had to surround himself with power hungry neocons to even get in office, let alone stay there.

Side note: a cousin of mine was one of his advisers and I got a private tour of the oval office and other restricted areas in '86. Personal info 'reveal of the day' complete.

And perhaps as a surprise to an American who spent time in the UK, their own variances of spoken English are even greater than ours here. So it's all sort of moot.

One can easily obsess about language usage, but it's mostly obsessive compulsive thinking why someone can get so worked up about it especially in a more casual online setting. As if there aren't more pressing issues in the world, lets get worked up over this too!
