Nobody counts Steam sales, because they can't. No third party has access to the data, so any PC figures you read in these blurbs are always off. By a lot...

Oh right, now I remember that. TY

I'm surprised PC is only 6% of South Park sales!! Wow.. But PC sales have a much longer tail than console, yet I could see justifying a delayed PC release to better focus on the console release, if it works that way at Obsidian. *shrug*

Maybe we PC gamers have enough to play for now and are waiting for the %50 sale a few months from now. I know I am.

Good interview. I liked Computer Chronicles but always wanted longer episodes and more Amiga news (before '94). Glad Stewart is doing well today. He sure has aged!

it is basically untraceable.

What?!?! The entire ledger is public information. It's far more traceable than US dollars! We could be so lucky if our major institutions used Bitcoins, we would see and be able to scrutinize all the corruption and waste imposed on us.

Yeah this is what I'm concerned with. How much was gutted and changed for a 'make it happen no matter what' release. Waiting for reviews and gameplay vids first.

Raising minimum wage doesn't not lose jobs, it cuts into profit. When you get to the point you're hiring employees in a small business then you're making enough money to support yourself and the business. If you can't afford another $50-$100 a week for an employee then you can't afford them to begin with.

It's irrelevant. Wealth has been exported out of the country and channeled to the politically connected corporations. Wages stagnate as a result. Raising minimum wage doesn't address the cause, only a symptom.

Hilarious. These people forgot that they needed something called financial security.

External forces at work on the currency, not the fundamentals of it. Governments outlawing it, security issues with Mt Gox, etc..

Governments want to outlaw it because that is their stranglehold for robbing their populace through mandated inflationary currencies that benefit the elite (and rich).

"It's not a currency," he said.

Of course it is. It fits within the definition of a currency because it moves around, creating a current. Currency is a term derived from the word 'current' or 'in circulation'. Indeed the bitcoins move around the globe, mostly across the Internet.

From wikipedia on the definition of a currency: "A much more general use of the word currency is anything that is used in any circumstances, as a medium of exchange"

A rise in minimum wage isn't going to do much or anything to address the disparity between the rich and poor. That's fantasy magical thinking. The disparity is a product of a deeper economic mechanic because we are a debt and consumer based economy and no longer a savings and production based economy as we were 50 years ago. China is now the production and savings based economy and their wealth is skyrocketing not because of minimum wage laws but because they are producing physical goods people want.

Raising the minimum wage only sounds good because it's easy to understand in a simple sentence uttered by a politician or news reporter. Sure go ahead and think it will work, and then believe the self serving lies they tell you later as to why it didn't work and their next failed solution.

Holy sweeping generalizations, Batman.

Many generalizations are made with anti-vaxxers as well. I've had a minimum of vaccinations purely due to being born over four decades ago. As I understand it, it's effectively impossible to scientifically test all the possible interactions between all the different concoctions in vaccines given today. It could be Russian roulette. What about respecting freedom of choice, even if it may be risky?

Many people question the corporate/profit and the connection to arguably immoral globalist corporations who develop the stuff and their connections to the governing bodies who say it's safe. There are also other reasons to question what we are told.

That's right. Lack of competition and consumer choice is the real problem.

Regulating ISP routers to be 'neutral' won't solve the problem but instead just perpetuate the duopoly and create government red tape to Internet services.

There is a finite total of bitcoins possible, which means it is by its nature a deflationary currency instead of an inflationary one. That means it is a better idea to hoard the coins than it is to invest them or spend them.

That's right. Bitcoins encourage fiscal responsibility unlike Fed Reserve Notes. Our consumer-focused economy is very much influenced by our debt-based currency.

This is in opposition to a producing economy that is wealthy and out of debt. A deflationary currency like Bitcoin is what we need to stop the ruling corporate and government elite who benefit from robbing us to their benefit.

We are slaves to debt and the ruling elite who perpetuate it.

Bitcoin does not require central banks, it has a finite supply (not based on debt)

Isn't bitcoin infinitely divisible, negating any idea of limited supply?

No. It can be divided to a maximum of eight decimal places after the whole number.
