I'm a libertarian and I think their approach is flawed. First of all, the feds have made it clear they'll violate the constitution whenever they want to. The Constitution is just a piece of paper, more or less meaningless.
This is a local government issue. If your ISP has a franchise agreement (a monopoly) with your local government and they filter your traffic against your wishes, contact your local government and demand they update the terms or open your market to competition so you can chose the best service. If your local government refuses, vote someone else in who will.
Your local government created the problem, not the feds, not your ISP.

Considering the vast numbers of bugs in Skyrim this patch is a disappointment. Compare list this with the patch list of the community developed patch. Bethesda is far behind the industry in this regard and I think it is to their detriment. They still sell Morrowind, Oblivion and Fallout 3 and those games are abandonware despite needing some patching of many issues. This is unfortunate for us who do enjoy their games.

A real shame they didn't create an updated Desert Combat multiplayer game from the start. I guess that also was a mismanagement decision to forget that great achievement and then set exceedingly high expectations to compete with CoD.
It's a good thing this sort of fiasco didn't happen to the Project Reality people.

Not surprising ARS is at best, 50%/50% on supporting CFL on this.
The Internet currently allows those who own their Internet property to operate as they want. But the solution (to unwanted traffic filtering) isn't net neutrality as I've said here before. Ending the duopoly is, in my opinion, a better idea. Maybe not for everywhere, but for many markets, the government regulated duopoly that we have now just isn't a 21st century solution. It's a failed political solution that we need to start to phase out so that the consumer is empowered and can chose an ISP that doesn't filter traffic. Consumer choice is far, far more powerful than government regulations.
In any case.. Remember that Ron Paul is an ally to those opposed to federal regulations such as PIPA, ACTA, SOPA that many collectivist corporations want very badly. So it goes both ways. If you get Net Neutrality, you are more likely to get federal fascist-like control of the Internet because the precedent has been set that they have the power to regulate it.

Fuck yeah! I think it's from a movie intro clip but I have heard it once, I forget where. Still, 3wave ctf is pure win. Quake 1 revolutionized a whole lot and its not widely recognized for that.

This is good news for PC gaming!! A console that is crippled day one, when compared with a good gaming PC. LOL Like I said before, the $400-$600 consoles lost MS & Sony a lot of money while Nintendo cleaned house. Yeah 4GB is not enough.

| Yeah the game is $20 on Steam. Should be $5 to keep an decent player count in the game. Or maybe even make it free and then sell optional perk stuff for $10. |

So is he a Keynesian or Austrian economist? An Keynesian will deflate your in-game money as a sort of stealth theft and rationalize it by saying the game would break if they didn't steal the value of your currency. Also, they'll call it money when it's really just debt in disguise. They'll also do clever tricks like call the currency two different things at the same time as in 'dollars' or 'federal reserve notes.'

I bought JA:BiA recently on sale and am happy with my purchase. Great graphics and I see tons of potential in this game type. I want to help Kalypso and bitComp to keep improving their work, too. I'm glad about this expansion too. I never played JA2 and I'm sorry I missed it for so long.

That was my impression. A GTA competitor. If it's linear, then it will get boring because then it will be just like another FPS on rails, but third person. Of course, making it open-world requires a lot more content & cost to them. *Looks* promising..

I was a happy ATI customer for the past five years and recently went back to nV. You guys criticize ATI with hyperbole but there is a serious flaw in nVidia's recent driver releases too. I never had this problem on my ATI cards. Specifically the card does not properly go into full clocks after resuming from sleep. Instead the driver clocks the GPU at 50% full speed in-game. Pathetic. The worse part is, nvidia hasn't released an emergency hotfix for this, and it's been a known issue with the previous drivers too. I never had this big of a problem with my ATI drivers.
ATI would likely have put out a hotfix for this type of issue. And no, I'm not going to use one of the developer beta drivers, especially since they are not as up-to-date and I play new game releases. I've found people in games online complaining about performance and advised them if they had a nVidia card to reboot their machine. Sure enough, they reboot and performance is fixed. This is a common issue effecting many people and it's just one of the issues people are having with nvidia drivers.
