I haven't been too psyched about FC4. It seems like they've tried to improve on FC3 but still kept it as a console game. Will we at least get a server browser for MP? FC3 felt very repetitive.

FC2 was a great game held back by some really bad choices and a some glaring problems that were never addressed. The map editor was win!

They USPS article says "sustain public confidence in the mail" as if such a thing even exists any more. It hasn't existed for nearly a decade anywhere except for in the bureaucratic layer of the USPS itself. People use it because it is convenient and still the cheapest way to get physical media from point A to point B. But if it contains secure information or needs to get there overnight -- then that crap is going to FedEx or a private courier.

This. Just walk into your local usps office and it looks dirty, messy and not very organized.

I think there may be another reason for this.

If someone accidentally had a "wardrobe malfunction" on twitch, I wonder if there'd be a liability issue for Twitch if it got distributed, as per the most recent "revenge porn" laws in some areas?

That's a separate issue.

It's actually a pretty fun little game. Think of it as Hexxen-lite of a sort with roguelite elements. Good for killing an hour or two.

This.

Still playing ESO and loving it. The weird thing is that it has lasted longer then GW2 did for me, and it's subscription based. I swore off of subscription based after GW2... I was wrong.

Awesome. I canceled mine after a month and feel like resubbing soon. I didn't care much for the soloing or open world PvE but I did enjoy the PvE dungeons I managed to get to at lower level. Also the combat is fun. I just wish it ran at 24fps instead of a smooth 120.

Yeah people on Reddit freaked out over the minimums. Isn't a 680 at least twice as fast as a PS4's GPU? I'd expect them to lower the minimums. Personally I don't care.

The 9xx series SLI voltage bug is not fixed yet. Their driver team seems stretched beyond capacity if they didn't see this type of bug before release. All they had to do was put two 9xx cards into a PC and check voltages in SLI. How could that slip through?

Currency duping is done in the real world with dollars. It's called 'fractional reserve banking.' Trion is more strict than our central bank.

I disagree I think this can sustain the economy since we don't produce much except debt notes. Everyone in the country can sue The Simpsons show since they depict people and everyone is a people. There's a song about that. We're all rich now, bitch! Watch out Bart Simpson, we got your number.

Wow. I don't know the cause.

Often the cause of death from prolonged gaming sessions is a pulmonary embolism. Sitting for hours gaming, blood clots form in the legs. Then when standing up the clot mobilizes and moves to the lungs where it clogs and stops blood flow. Combined with acidic sodas that make the blood thicker (helps clots form) and often gamers have a substandard diet with an abundance of poor quality highly processed fats that thicken artery walls. Not saying for sure that happened here but a P.E. is likely.

Ditto on the Amiga being years ahead of everyone else for the 2nd half of the 80's. What a ride! Designed by the same team more or less that developed the Atari 8bit which was also years ahead of everyone else. Speaking of which check this out.

Jan 27th eh? First I've heard of the release date, unless I forgot. I've been very interested as the gameplay vids made it look like an improvement over DI, which I enjoyed more than I thought I would.

Agreed. 6GB of RAM is a reasonable expectation for new game in 2014. Maybe since it is requiring more RAM it will be a better game for it.

If you haven't noticed the current gen consoles came out as abortions, woefully underpowered to the point it didn't make a blip on our pc specs.

This always bugs me. Yes, these consoles can't touch the performance of a gaming PC. But using the PS4 as an example, you do realize that Sony needs to put together hardware and sell it for $400 and still make a profit? What mistake did they make in the design? What should they have done instead that could still match that price point?

Historically it's a blunder. All consoles prior were near top pc spec or beyond pc spec at release. These were released middle road pc's. I get your point, but at the same time, this gen was different from the past. We are not really moving all that forward because of it.

This. Sony doesn't need to make a profit on the PS4 units from day 1. Initially they sold PS3's at a loss iirc. Same with x360. I think they took example from the Wii this time around and decided that gimmicks were more important than hardware capacity.

So the PS4 got a touch screen on the gamepad as its gimmick and the xbone got a creepy spycam motion sensor. Meanwhile the previous notion that putting out a console with bleeding edge performance took a back seat this time. Thankfully they did bump the RAM which was a huge and costly bottleneck for developers last generation.

They're going to do it anyway and when you protest they'll gas you, shoot you with rubber bullets and then hold you in prison as a 'rioter'. They'll use your protest or lack of compliance against you in the public arena of controlled media propaganda and their own courts.

They are far more willing to do whatever it takes to get what they want and they have the means to do it. Fear, violence and psychological warfare are amongst their weapons against us and they will use them.
