All game companies are going to make console games first.
What about the best FPS yet, Half-life 2?
allow patches, have a keyboard/mouse, full internet browsing, etc.
That's why I am a PC gamer and that's why PCs aren't going anywhere.
Name a game in the next 12-18 months besides BF2 that has you by the balls?
How about Civilization IV, Half-life 2 Aftermath, Alan Wake, Dreamfall The Longest Journey, Dungeon Siege II, Quake IV, Stargate SG-1 the Alliance, Prey, KOTOR III? Should I go on?
Computers are a pain in the ass, too hard to develop for
They aren't as hard as the upcoming consoles. For them to be competitive with PCs the games have to be written to use all of the cores/SIMD units....which is much much harder than writing for a single core CPU.
