Yeah.. I didn't get that.
I also don't get the ranks. This is supposed to be a mercenary group but they're giving you USAF ranks. Not only that but enlisted USAF ranks. Here's your $200 a month pay rate and your F-16 Airman Basic Smith. |

I finally got a good download. You weren't joking about the full control camera thing. WTF? I found it very disorienting.
I couldn't get the aircraft to fully roll. I'd apply ailerons and it would only go 90 degrees.
I know it's not a sim, but the flight characteristics felt very odd. It doesn't seem like it's a bad game but I don't think I'd pay full price for it. |

I really like this game but...
A lot of people want Mythic to fix the broken nature of T4 ORvR. Unfortunately they seem more interested in touting new content. My server has been bleeding players for a long time, after today it is starting to bleed the hardcore. |

I wonder how much space this is going to take? I use 1m 30nmx30nm satellite imagery squares for FSX and it runs about 11GB. A fighter could cover 30nm pretty quick. They could probably optimize it a bit better than FSX. It's awesome for VFR above about 500 ft.

The game play wasn't that great along with cheesy dialog spouting, no neck characters who look like they get three square meals of steroids a day.
I was surprised that this game was such a big deal.

I've thought about it and I'm going to cancel my pre-order. I have little faith that this new copy protection system will be bug free on release. EA is probably using this as a real world test before they release the hyped game Spore. I'll wait this out and see how things turn out.
There is no Bioware, only Zhul EA
