He foolishly made a verbal (typed) commitment without realizing exactly what it entailed, and once he was made aware of it, he reneged. An honest mistake many people that suddenly came into money for the first time could make. Agreed. No one can say Notch is a bad guy for backpedaling. Could Psychonauts 2 even recoup an 18 million investment? I know the first one was a pretty amazing game, but it wasn't a financial success, right? |

Isn't that the point of them posting videos' to get potential players reactions and influence sales? Maybe we should just have someone tell us what to think and go with that. Also, the voice actor sucks. |

Ubisoft agreed to purchase Montreal and South Park
Good luck with that. I'm siding with South Park Studios statement that THQ doesn't have the right to sell the game.

| After watching the newest Kickstarter video and reading this article I've canceled my pledge for this game. Chris Taylors previous videos for this project all this week were full of enthusiasm - can't say much for someone who then fires their staff because his kickstarter didn't roar to completion like Planetary Annihilation or Oblivions new game (both of which I supported). Taylor gives it less then a week then lets everyone go - sounds like the kind of joker who wouldn't finish this game and keep my money. No thanks. |

| You just know the early units won't produce smell properly and you will be trying to figure out what the smell is emanating from your PC, or everything will smell the same or smell like chicken. |

| Do people care about smell in their game? I don't think so...about half the time I turn off background music, so why would I want to smell my food cooking? |

| $499 for the base or $999 for a more powerful version?? Seems way more expensive then either the XBox 720 or PS4. Valve doesn't play to loose, so there is something else going on here. Gabe isn't stupid, and selling one of these would be stupid. Limited usefulness as a PC (Linux is dystopian), and with a limited selection (at the moment) of Big Screen games, this would be a console looser - so I'm saying there is more here then meets the eye. |

I'm in.
I have my doubts about the realities of this game being released, but I got excited and donated 60 bucks.....I'd be willing to spend more, but that's what I'm willing to loose (about what I lost on Supreme Commander 2, the new Stronghold, Swords of the Stars2, insert other bad games here)
If he manages to pull this project off, it looks to be an incredible experience and everyone wins. |

By that thought what's the difference in carbon footprint, of amazon shipping the goods to their warehouse, then UPS to my home compared to Toys R Us shipping the item through their distribution system to the store, then hundreds of consumers driving to the store in their SUV to pick up an item that may or may not be available then driving to another store, or a third.
Think I'll stick with online shopping and save myself time and frustration. |

It wasn't that long ago that McAfee was wanted for an alleged meth lab on his property. Not sure what happened to those allegations, but I think it's clear that the authorities in Belize are corrupt and would like to Nationalize John's assets. I'm not saying he did it, or not - just saying he isn't going to get an honest shake in a third world country and sensationalist headlines seem to be the norm with John McAfee.
That being said he cannot stay with me while he sorts out his troubles. |
