I stand by what I have said all along, Empire is the first screw up by CA on so many levels.
Add Stormrise to the list, although I don't remember which of the two games released first. Yea, CA have seemingly gone down the toilet with their past couple of releases. |

I've been wondering if they'll ever make a real retail expansion pack for DoW2 or not.
Of course they will. However, when that happens, people will blame them for not supporting their game and instead trying to 'fool' customers out of more money for content that 'should have been in the game in the first place'.

Very well, let me try and make it less of a blanket statement.
Only idiots buy lifetime subs for a product/service that is yet unreleased and where the word 'lifetime' could, in fact, mean a few months.

| yep my steam version is now autoupdating the game, even though i installed the manual patch successfully a little while back (as posted earlier). |

| You should look at Oblivion Lost 2.2. I think it's the best mod out for the game. Another one to look into is Stalker Complete 2009. Both are huge mods that change the base game by a lot, although I don't think they can work together. Check and see which one interests you. |

| Some people seem to have problems with nVidia's drivers as well because they are not open source. They cannot digest the fact that a company would rather not make their work open source but still choose to support the platform. Since it goes 'against' the spirit of linux/open source, they refuse to use the drivers. It's whole different mess that has been created by the community themselves. |

how do you actually acquire unlocks?
it's still completely random. which means you just need to play more and you'll get them eventually. or you could go for the achievements. |

You guys remember the last update which started out as the Sniper pack and was... umm... hijacked by the Spy mid way in between? What's to say that the same won't happen again here with the Soldier pack being revealed after a couple of days or something?
