No comments on the actual story huh? Seemed pretty bizarre to me. I guess the president of the DR doesn't have a whole lot to do. I didn't think it was a very high tech country.

More likely it's from the countless horrible MMOs they keep shoving out the door. Even crappy MMOs cost a lot to make!
But I guess they should get right on banning everyone you don't like from the games, then they will make tons of money!
In any case the gaming world will not miss NCSoft.

I thought the Prey demo was cool.. kinda ended abruptly though. Only thing I don't like is the monster design, every game has these damn demon dog things! If they have some more variation in the environments it will be cool, the slime/industrial space ship was already getting kind of stale for me. I was also kinda disappointed that you only get to use the spirit bow and it taking your life kinda sucks, I thought it let you move invisible or something from the tutorial but everything still shoots me in spirit form.

I think the NFS are pretty fun with a gamepad, the decals and crap get a little ridiculous but some of the customizing stuff is fun. If you want it to be like other games you've played, well, play the other games! No other game can match the concentration of 30 something white voice actors trying to sound "street" though!
And yes the AI is bullshit, it doesnt make games more fun when other human players cheat, and it doesnt make it more fun when the CPU player cheats either.

No they aren't going to have someone watching character transfers. You think anyone did for the server migrations? In EQ it was totally automated and cost $75 per character if I remember correctly. Why are they charging? Cause this is going to make them millions of dollars in the first month of it being available. Oh, but if it was your company you would turn it down.... riiiiiiiiiiiiight.
My guess is people will spend a couple hundred dollars and realize every server sucks just as bad as the original. There is no magical fun server. If you can't have fun playing on your server, why do you think another will be so much better? Cause you can spend more mind numbingly boring time raiding or because you can buy slightly better items for less work? Sounds like a fungasm! The battlegrounds argument should be nonexistant soon.
And I can't believe anyone still thinks they are getting ahead by playing GW... wake up, your next full price expansion is just around the corner, along with your paid extra character slots. But if you have nothing to boost your self esteem except the fact that you don't pay monthly for your online addiction, carry on. I don't play either game so.. HAHA, SUCKERS!

If they pull this with Fallout 3 I will be pissed. And they will, but since they will probably fuck the game up so bad I guess it won't matter.
As for oblivion, I don't care. Same as all the other TES games it's amazing for a few days then you realize how shallow and boring it is. Even moreso with the RETARDED level/mob/loot systems. If you are happy playing it thats nice, go play it! If you don't mind paying for every little addition, fine, but have fun when games are $60 with minimal content and every extra half hour of gameplay is 5 bucks.
But but but... movies cost $500 now so it's ok!

I don't even know why people have to say where they got the game. If you pirated it, I don't care, there's no reason to say you did unless you think it makes you look cool or smart or something.
Posting information about pirated games is just asking for trouble, "free speech" or not. This is a game discussion forum anyway and not a piracy or 'where did you get the game' forum. It's unnecessary and can potentially cause problems to say you pirated something so why do it?

Thats whats great about films like Lord Of The Rings. Based of a very old book, its a real story. If it was a modern story, they would have kept it open ended.
Harry potter anyone?
I like Lost, but I wouldn't play a game about it. But realistically the companies arent targeting me, or anyone else on this site, so it doesn't really matter if we think it's stupid.. they are going to make money.

I can just see it now, for games where the ads "fit" you won't be able to go 5 seconds without seeing one.
But what about the games where it doesn't fit... hmm.. oh yes! Intro screens, loading screens, exit screens! We can even extend the loading times long enough to play commercials!
To any gamer who ever thought this was going to enhance immersion: fuck you.

Autopause is an abomination.
Maybe I'm weird, but I get bored trying to manually control combat that isn't fun in the first place and would be over in a fraction of the time if I just let it auto.
Same problem with the DS games, trying to actually play it yourself is just frustrating.
