My review for this game is the same as Spinal Tap got for Shark Sandwich. See you all in 3 months when you've finished EVERYTHING there is to do in this game and you're begging to get into GW2. Fools and their money.

I may be done SWTOR in 3 months... But that's still 2 months more content than GW2 will have...

I realize idiocy isn't contagious, but it still scares me how close you live.

I'm so not 'hip' with the whole Android thing... Ice Cream Sandwich on the Archos G9.. My first thought was... Ya... I guess if it was melting in real time, that could be a neat thing to demo/render : )

Just fyi - but i got all 36 potatoes in that portal 2 arg and the ENTIRE VALVE CATALOG for free.

Including Portal 2, as well as super cheap deals on a lot of indy games that were great fun to play

So yeah, bad marketing for you, a great gift for me and my friends as i had nearly none of the valve stuff at that point in time and none of the indy games even heard of.

You didn't have to buy any games to get those potatoes?

Or do our versions of free differ? : )

I've really enjoyed the DIII beta. As Paranoid Jack said, it's the first game to keep me from playing Skyrim - I played it through to completion and was getting really into it. I should point out that I have zero experience with the previous games, though that doesn't disqualify my opinion. For some reason I missed out on Diablo and Starcraft, which I can only assume was because the C&C series took my attention.

Blizzard games are pretty much the only games I'll buy that aren't on Steam, though it pisses me off that the Blizzard installer uses P2P by default and oversaturates my upload (over 60kb/s), killing my net connection. Thankfully I have Netlimiter to limit the upload, as when I disabled P2P it dropped by download speed to 4kb/s. To me it's pretty sleazy to use the bandwidth of users, as Steam doesn't pull shit like that.

Heh... my wife picks the absolute worst times to start uploading something to youtube...

No matter how bad ass your 'down stream' connection is, the crappy 'up stream' will kill it : )

I blame the Acks...

What a disappointing trailer. The choice of music was... lackluster, at best. I almost fell asleep during it.

As an aside: am I on the only one who finds those "Please enter your age" prompts to watch videos and trailers utterly useless and asinine?

Interesting timing... I was thinking about commenting on those age 'verification' prompts... They're damned annoying... And as they always have, even on porn sites, they don't actually do anything (other than annoy)... So I guess they're like Copy Protection for non-pirates : )

really really hate this game already. which is nice, because it means I'm not going to buy it and then hate it. like with bioshock1.

I enjoyed Bioshock... I actually have it on my desk waiting for a re-playthrough... Though it's been there for months... I wasn't a big proponent of Steam and downloadable games 'at first', but I really feel like having to put a CD in the drive is outdated : )

Infinite though, I'm not sure of... None of the vid's that have been on blues have excited me... But then, that could be more that watching vid's just doesn't give the kind of info I want.

10 hours? LOL. You obviously did none of the side quests, none of the Riddler puzzles, none of the trophies, none of the challenges. You probably played it on easy as well. You didn't even play the game, you rushed through the quest line and then pronounced your incorrect, lame judgement.
Neither trophies or challenges have any point to me beyond ego stroking. Riddler puzzles were boring, and the side quests got tedious. As for easy? Assuming just makes an ass out of yourself.

I would have to argue that claiming one game takes 10 hours, but another game, that can be beaten in half that time even though 'it took me 137hrs to beat the main quest' is a bit much like making an ass out of yourself...

I'm happy you got such good 'entertainment value'. If only you could word it without exaggerated misleading : )

As for Skyrim as GOTY... I think it's a fine game... And I think, if it had been released in January, it wouldn't be up on the radar... That's my 'beef' with it winning. I've made a similiar argument around new years before, and as I'm morphing into a crusty curmudgeon, it'll likely come along nearly every year : )

I found that to be pretty disappointing (too)... Partly because the music vs scenes didn't exactly mesh, for me...

Speaking of, having played through Shadowgrounds (both) recently, I really liked their use of music during 'frenetic encounters'...

In Soviet Russia, HDD crash you!

I have no idea why that came to mind : )

I feel for you though... I enjoyed my beta time enough to pre-order, and stopped (to not waste time, ruin more, etc)... And I skipped the next round (obviously for the same previously parenthised reason : ).

LA Noire was on the most disappointing list and honorable mention for best PS3 game as well as best new IP. The descriptions are great, in one category it's no fun to play, in the other its a "classy, mature, unique" game.

Was going to mention I thought it was funny Bulletstorm was in the Best New IP and Most Disappointing lists... Seems rather silly, but also a good example of divergent opinions... If nominations are simply just that XX people chose it, I can see this... Lots of clashing opinions on most games these days ; )

Ahh yes, good times indeed. Use to rocked the Atari 800XL with a tape deck (which later was customized for turbo loading, lol I know) than had a brief moment with Commodore Amiga and moved onto x286 with a Hercules gfx card which later became Pentium 1

Also worth mentioning:

Another World, Moonstone, Police Quest, Space Quest, Future Wars, Dragon Lair, Duck Tales, X-Com Series (def were ahead of their time) and the list could go on and on =)

Another World was neat... And I forgot about the quests... Started with King's Quest I, and loved Sierra at the time, even sending them fan snail mail... Had a few KQ's, Space Quest III, Manhunter I/II, and the entire Quest for Glory series (when it started as Hero's Quest). Really liked that they added RPG to the adventure games formula they used...

Lots of fond memories, and lots of games to look forward to... A good time to be alive : )

The original System Shock, Fallout, Ultima - those were games I really regret not ever having played in their time.

Populous, Magic Carpet, Day of the Tentacle, Kyrandia series, Syndicate... I could go on, if my memory was better heh...

I didn't care much for Fallout or Ultima back then (or now), but I was around : ) X-Com should be on that list too... (both lists for me, around, but uninterested).

Ahhh nastalgia... Good times... I can't even imagine not being a gamer; I started with an Odyssey 2, around age 4-5, and an Atari 2600 not long after... Pitfall, etc... Good times ; )

Still looking forward to the Lost Alpha mod Dezodor and team are working.

Ultimate Mod: System Shock with all the additional stuff remade in the Doom-3-Engine. Just do it!

I would like to see that, but I recently played back through both SS's...

And they're dated (expectedly)... It's not nearly as scary/spooky when the enemies are more comical than scary because of how much graphics have improved...

However, I'm sure the many will agree that the audio is a big part of what made the second so freaky, and that doesn't really get old : )

Blizzard added a wallet to battlenet, OH NOES, now they are the supreme evil? Steam has had a wallet for a long time and they get a free pass?

I don't personally have a problem with them adding a wallet to Battle.net, but do you seriously not see the difference there? They aren't even remotely similar services.

I seriously see plenty of differences, what with one being a retailer, and the other being a retailer with some matching functionality...

What I seriously don't see, is the bad part of this announcement/addition.
