Awesome... I enjoyed some of their previous games, and it's about time they updated the engine... I'm assuming... : )

I haven't put enough time into the many expansions they added the last few years though.

Is there a Blues guild on Area-52, I recently started playing there?

I don't know any other Blues people in WoW, let alone on the server.

But again, launch week is crap for a server like Area 52... Being high pop means queues... Being 99% horde means everyone is in the same area, so those areas run like crap. I should go to sleep for a week : )

Wait, they didn't release on a Tuesday?

Went live overnight. Mine shipped out yesterday and should be here today.

What server are you on, Nin? Just got my CE from Amazon. Starting area is a great idea. Highly phased so you aren't competing with everyone for kills like every other expansion on release day.

I'm on Garona primarily, but I've not played in a long time. I suspect it'll be like previous expansions where I show up for a few days and lose interest. Not that thats the games fault, it's more of burn out w/ mmos in general.

If you ignore launch week, US-Area 52 is a good Horde server... And we need some raid members (Wed/Fri 9 to ~12 EST)... : )

US-Area 52 is at about 45m queues (3pm EST)... And the early quests are so packed, it literally takes minutes to click something, or kill something, or whatever... Crazy bad.

Skipping quest hubs helps, but you have to get to a certain point before you can, then it looks like 92 is required to start the next zone...

"While rogue-like games are not true role-playing games"

Might want to understand the medium you're in before embarrassing yourself in a press release.

When I think RPG, I think progression... New skills, abilities, and stronger as you go character... Persisted...

When I think Roguelike, I think repetition... Random skills, abilities, and stronger as you survive... Then you lose it all... Some Roguelikes add some progression, like Rogue Legacy, but I think of that as outside the norm...

I'm thinking about picking up CoD, but I think I'm going to wait for a sale. Don't really want to pay full price for it. Maybe 20-30% off would be ok. Same with Mordor really.

But everything is nearly always 20% off on GMG...

I...can't disagree with any of that, really. I've contemplated getting a mac a number of times over the years, until I see the price.

iMac's are an interesting beast... Or now that they're more common from other manufacturer's, 'all in one's...

They're basically built like a notebook, but with a bigass screen... Not as portable, but not much less (if you have an outlet)... As with notebooks, they're as limited in customization, or more, since the only thing easy to change is memory... HD is possible, but requires a lot of work (like with some notebooks).

And after all that, each time I consider upgrading, I can't justify it... And buy a nice new shiny video card for the PC : )

Smart move. MOBAs are a dead end right now. I'd be surprised if even Blizzard's MOBA goes anywhere near League or even Dota2 numbers.

I would be pretty surprised if it doesn't have huge numbers... Not sure where LoL/Dota are at, but I guesstimate Heroes will surpass it within 2-3 years.

It really does boggle the mind that many people are still into WoW.

There are no other good alternative to WoW. All other MMO are either lacking contents and/or support.

'Lacking Content' is grossly unfair... And not really all that different... There's been nothing (substantial) added to WoW for a year, and they held at 6.8M+... Sure, there's a crapton of old stuff people could do, but I would guess a very small percentage of players bother with it.

Anyhow... 9 days!

Lords of the Fallen is getting some pretty mediocre reviews.
Anyone here tried it?

I have not, and I would like to, but I'm waiting on some crash fixes, and I guess, a sale.

But in short, it's a Dark Souls style game, but more story, less customization, and about 13 hours. The main thing I dislike about Souls games is the lack of a story, but with story usually comes linearity.

Same, it'll have to hit the 10 dollar or so mark for me to bite.

I thoroughly enjoyed FC3 at $15, so that's what I'm shooting for...

The timing is no good for me anyways, as I'll be parading off my shiny new lvl 100 : )

The cinematic trailer just makes the game look like Back-Pedaling 2.0 Simulator... But then there's a 14m gameplay trailer, which is my main complaint about most steam games I know nothing about (not including them).

Only went halfway through the video, and the attacks look a bit too basic (though I'm sure they get better later)... Mob types seem pretty varied... I'll likely pick it up later today heh ; )

Well the price on Unity just skyrocketed not that it makes much of a difference, no serious developer would ever use it.

What?

I have to assume you mean subscription, which is confusingly high... But the $1500 price has been the same for years... And it's still free for anyone until they make $100k on it... It also now includes previously pay-only options.

Though it is nice that Unreal is finally a realistic option for indie's, so we'll see where that takes us...

Shadows of Mordor and Evil Within are two polarizing games. Mac's "Worth A Buy" review absolutely destroys The Evil Within and says he can't think of one redeeming quality of it. Of course he is VERY particular about what he likes and doesn't like...

For me, that's the mark of a bad, or irrelevant reviewer... Also why, on the few occasions I check out metacritic, I ignore all 10's and 0's... There are very few games (like, count on one hand), that fit into either score.

Actually, for me, if a game is highly rated (like almost everything on steam's 0/1 rating scale), I'm more interested in what the negative reviews say.

This is the first news piece on GamerGate I've looked at... I don't much care for scandals, and I don't agree with extremists on either side...

But this Anita chick, is kind of a bitch... I get that she's feeling defensive, but so many of the answers in this particular article are sexist and insulting... Knowing absolutely nothing about her, I have to assume that's the norm, so I can see why people are having an issue with her (not her gender).
