All he needs is a paypal link. I've used adblock since I started using FF, and I'm not going to stop using it now...

nin -- you don't have to stop using adblock. Download adblock plus (same thing as adblock, with new features) and use that. Then when you're on bluesnews.com, click on the ABP stop sign in the upper right and click "disable on bluesnews.com"

Oh yeah and for you 64-bit Vista users -- just use 64-bit Internet Explorer and you don't have to worry about flash at all.

2. max of 4 players? Oct 15, 2008, 21:55 skyguy

I didn't realize that it would have a max of 4 players. I guess that's cool though, I can't think of more than a few buddies who I'll be able to play with, at least when its released...

ATI supports everything back to the 9700 with these drivers. Pretty good if you ask me, that's way older than the cards NVidia supports with its latest drivers.

I remember one situation where accelerating helped avoid an accident. I around 12 at the time riding in the car with my parents, and my Dad had missed a turn. He was doing a 3 point turn, and right when the car was most exposed, a pickup truck came peeling around the corner heading straight for us. It wasn't about speed though, it was about accelerating out of the way of the pickup before it hit us. We couldn't have ended up accelerating more than 30 or 40 MPH, but it was how fast we accelerated that mattered. Thank god that 1976 Mercury Monarch had it in it.

7. X3 Oct 5, 2008, 22:12 skyguy

Well I for one am going to get it. The last of the series I played was the original X2, and I never did build an empire or pimp my ship out. But I did get 40 or so hours of fun flying around space and finishing the storyline.

This one is going to have a better storyline, better controls, and better graphics, so I'll pick it up to fuck around with. I'm sure I'll get my money's worth, though I may wait a month or two for a discount.

6. Re: No subject Oct 4, 2008, 16:03 skyguy

no, what's called the "unofficial patch" (vtmbupXX.exe) is made by fans, and the "True Unofficial Bloodlines" patch is made by a particularly vain fan.

untrue Fion. When you install this patch, it asks if you want to install either the "basic" version or the "plus" version. The basic version just fixes bugs, while the "plus" version adds and changes content.

I wouldn't recommend the True Unofficial Bloodlines patch at all. The author of it stole some of his content from this unofficial patch. He may have cleaned up his act by now, but this unofficial patch is much better maintained and complete.

you can also eat to restore health, at least in clear sky. I think its cool, adds to the RPGishness and means I have to waste less medikits.

my 4850 kicks ridiculous amounts of ass. I play everything at 1920x1200 smooth as hell, it cost me $150, and it works with my Dell's stock power supply.

So am I the only person for whom the post counts aren't working? All of the stories just say "Post a Comment" for me, whether anyone's posted or not.

Now that I think about it, you burn through $22m, mostly on tech - and you have no 64Bit Windows support? When in fact, I can name no less than 100 games and apps which cost less than $50K to make and which have 64Bit support?

I'm pretty sure Crysis shipped with both 32-bit and 64-bit binaries.
