I think the ads are perfect blue, normally I use adblock for everything except for sites that I really like and want to support. I've been a bluesnews reader for ages (this is not my original account), and would have turned off adblocking for your site years ago, but UGO was way too obnoxious with its ads. Now you've joined the distinguished ranks of the sites I disable adblock on, which number in the single digits.

I'm not sure that any mod can make it more like the original games than it already is, unless its an isometric mod. There are mods to make all combat turn based, but from how I played the game it would take you 100 years to play through it with turn based combat. You're really missing out if you thought the game had consolitis, it sure as hell doesn't, and if you want a bunch of PC style tweaks there's thousands of mods out there, one I've played in the past is FOOK:

| Just a thought about the contrasting images of 2 men kissing and a severed head. I presume that the severed head picture was fake, while the 2 men kissing picture was an actual photo of 2 men kissing, not a cartoon or rendered image. I play gorey video games all the time, however I have no desire to see any of the images on ogrish.com, and indeed I would be disgusted by them. I have another friend who loves zombie movies filled with blood and gore, but when he was stupid enough to watch the Nick Berg beheading video a few years ago, he almost couldn't speak for the rest of the day. I'm sure its an image that stays in his mind until this day. Just a thought that the "realness" of an image might be more of a factor than gayness vs gore. |

Guess the L.U.R.K. mod for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. won't be out for a while. Disappointing... I'm taking the day off tomorrow and was hoping to try it out. There's a beta and a bunch of patches but I don't want to play it in its current state, from what I've read there's plenty of crashing bugs. Now I gotta figure out what to spend my free time playing this weekend...

You do know that the Linux ATI and NVidia drivers are developed in parallel to the windows drivers, right? They even have the same version numbers.

Force Unleashed PC is on sale before its even been released. I don't know if that's a good sign of the quality of the game.

#1 thing I'd like to see fixed in the ATI drivers: stop rearranging my desktop icons every time I update them.
