From Wikipedia:
In July 2004, the Redneck Rampage license was purchased by Vivendi Universal for $300,000 dollars. However VU Games representative said that at the moment there are no intentions of making a new game in the Redneck Rampage series. If they ever did make a redneck rampage 2, I'd really hope they'd use Larry the Cable Guy for voices (and even game ideas).

I think the person who said people with problems are the ones upgrading, ie not doing a format/full install, is right.
I've been using Vista for a long time now and I have not seen most of the problems people report with the latest build. I always did a format/full install. Upgrades almost always bite you in the ass unless the OS you're upgrading was JUST re/installed from scratch. I also have an 8800 GTX.
Also, If you want more DX10 demos other than cascade, install the DirectX SDK and open the example browser. I'm not sure when the other NV demos are going to be released; they're pretty cool though.

>> If you already have Vista and a DX10 graphics card, what purpose does the demo serve?
I don't understand your question. NVIDIA and even ATI always release demos to show off what you can do with a new card/api. There's nothing out of the ordinary here. This is obviously aimed at graphics developers looking to see what cool things you can do with DX10.
I played around with the demo earlier. It's pretty nice.

Who wants to bet EP2 will be delayed into 2008? It actually wouldn't surprise me.
At this rate, EP3 will come out by the time Vista is old and MS's next OS is out with DX11...or hell, even 12.
And Duke Nukem Forever will still be in development...

Tango,
You can get the multiplayer demo on fileplanet. But don't expect it to be any less buggy than OFP.
The full game released in the Czech Rep, Germany, etc right now is not any better either.

No one knows. I don't think BIS even knows.
From what I've seen of the multiplayer demo released a while back, I don't mind waiting longer b/c not only is it bugged to hell but slow as sh*t...and the demo is using the latest engine code from the full game.
There's other games out there with better graphics and environments more detailed and big and they run fine. AA even runs slow on an 8800!
It's a shame b/c there's no other game that's like AA (besides their OFP of course). I love the realism in it (although sometimes it goes too far or is implemented goofy) and the multiple roles you can play. Plus it's very non-linear gameplay and very open ended (just like Operation Flashpoint).
I'll probably still buy it onces it comes to the states though. I'll have an uber PC by then. A group is remaking the original Flashpoint campaign for AA which sounds quite cool. I look forward to that.

They should make all of the characters women, hire Paul Steed to model & animate them, then call the game Unreal Tournament XXX.
I'd buy that.

OMG finally! Took them long enough.
Hopefully the game will actually be playable now without all the crashing (like the trade route bug).
I looked forward to this game for over a year after it was announced, got it the day it came out and havn't been able to play it since then b/c of the crashing bugs. I've been pretty dissapointed but hopefully that's all over now.

AMD/NVIDIA |

"The Inquirer says that AMD almost bought Nvidia instead of ATI in 2006."
LOL. It never ends with The Inquierer. NVIDIA is not at all interested in being bought out no matter what price is offered and AMD couldn't even come close to affording NVIDIA.
Intel couldn't even afford to buy NVIDIA, AMD sure as heck could not.
AMD saw buying ATI as an opportunity b/c they could then produce good GPUs and ATI was actually affordable (and needed saving). ATI has been losing hundreds of millions of dollars each quarter, whereas NVIDIA has been making hundreds of millions each quarter.
