F graphics. I don't play games for the tech. I want good game play. I don't care if it looked like Doom. Good is good.
It's funny seeing people complain about a game not having the best graphics in the world yet when games do have it they complain about how they spent too much time on graphics and not enough on game play.
Whatever. |

I'm going to be disappointed if the turd flinging ability is not in the real game. It's gross but made me LOL. Duke peeing on the turd in the toilet and seeing little bits of it roll off was awesome. haha |

When this game finally comes out, it'll be 7 years in the making. 6 if you don't count the first year since they were working on "darkness" although the core tech was carried over.

creative freedom blah blah blah. There is nothing creative about school shootings, rape, child prostitution, etc. I think it's pretty damn obvious where you stop. There's a line you just don't cross no matter what and anyone with more than 3 brain cells should know what this line is.
Removing this mod or any potential mod about the other things I mentioned is NOT censoring. Only a sick mind would think so. Period. |

| I tried IE9 and it's just as slow and overall crappy as I remember IE to be. Firefox owns IE so hard in so many ways. |

Bah. I'd rather see RE return to it's roots and be less concerned about combat. The first three REs were just as much about solving puzzles as it was about killing zombies, if not more so.
RE5 looked nice, but it felt more like gears of war than RE. |

They need to add the ability to save anywhere not just at lame checkpoints. Also the editor!!! Oh and more than 3 graphical options would be nice too. All of these the original Crysis had so wtf?
Game devs these days...sheesh. |

I'm most concerned about them steering away from the original's sim roots. It just makes no sense to do this. OFP fans expect a hardcore sim, not CoD or some BS crap like that. If that's what they want to make then they can just do it and call the game something else.
Who's ever decision it is to take the game's sim history away needs to be kicked in the bags.
I can say straight up that I will not be fooled again like I was with Dragon Rising. Chance of me buying this crap = 0%.
The gaming industry is being taken over by complete idiots. |

If they are using code that effects my system as well (the hack), isn't that hacking my system? Time to take off the gloves, call the FBI on the IPs...let them track this crap down. Sometimes all it takes is a little spankage...
I'd rather the FBI focus on something important, thank you...

Bumpy wrote on Mar 9, 2011, 18:48: I don't see this engine looking any better than Crysis or Frostbite.
Plus the Unreal engine lacks destructible environment, open world ability and best in the business nature scenes(god I love Crysis tropics).
Frankly, after all the crap Unreal engine issues we on PC have had to fix every game, I wish this engine would die and fade away.
Actually UE3 does have destructible environments by utilizing NVIDIA's APEX.
From the UDK site:
NVIDIA APEX Support
* NVIDIA APEX technology enables artists to quickly generate physically simulated clothing and destructible environments. For more information on APEX, please visit: http://developer.nvidia.com/object/apex.html

Hopefully this time around the character you play (as well as some you interact with) is actually like-able. I HATED the character you play as in GTA4. For me it really brings the game down which is too bad b/c it was a good game (still never beat it though) otherwise.
On the other hand John Marston in RDR was very like-able and the other characters were cool as well. |

The Advocate wrote on Mar 7, 2011, 10:49: This sucks. I buy Hitachi drives because they have a stellar reliability record in everything I have deployed them in. Western Digital drives have always been junk, barely above the crap that Seagate shovels in to a box.
Guess I'll be giving Samsung a shot.
I have the exact opposite experience. Recently out of 3 2TB Hitachi drives I bought, ONE works. The other two were DOA. I've not yet had an issue with WD drives which I have several of right now. WD buying Hitachi's HD unit is very good news to me.
I've always liked WD, Seagate and Maxtor drives. I would like a Samsung SSD though for my OS drive.
It seems I'm not the only one with Hitachi 2TB 7200RPM drive issues. I've seen quite a lot of negative reviews on this drive on newegg and elsewhere. Hitachi's quality control seems to have been slipping so it does not surprise me they're selling to WD. |
