Yay!
I was just thinking the other day the kinds of rendering algorithms I want to add to this. In addition to iOS/Android support.
My port is going to have a very different backend. |

I've been seeing this issue with my SLI GTX 460s ever since I installed the beta BF3-beta/Rage driver (actually it was JUST BF3 at the time). The newest one still does it of course too, just not as much. As a matter of fact, it JUST did it not 10 min ago.
It does seem to be less common with the latest drivers for me. Before the beta driver, this issue was extremely rare for me. Now it's an almost everyday thing.
But of course, it could be worse. In the "old days" you'd get a BSOD when the driver did something odd. |

Yes, it's called the Xbox 360 version. |

I like netflix and will continue to use it for as long as I can.
I may end up dropping the DVD portion but for now it stays. I use the streaming option most often. |

I think I'll play some Quake 2 today.
Funny enough, quake2.com still works. But the last news post was on October 30th 1998. |

I don't know what you're on, but the issue with Rage is AMD/ATI drivers. At least the one they made public. Using NVIDIA the game is just fine and is quite awesome.
Crap drivers is why I have never, and will never, buy a radeon. |

Yep this happened to me. Somehow they used FIFA 12 to rob $50 worth of points from me that I bought only a few days prior.
Good thing I no longer keep a CC on my account. |

Upgrade woes dampen iOS 5 excitement; how has it been for you? |

OMG, it's been a complete cluster f@#k. My iPod touch and iPad both got the "failed to update" messages at a critical point forcing me to restore to stock then restore my backup...eventually. When it failed to contact the update server the devices were basically soft-bricked at that point since the morons at Apple think it should contact the update server when the device is at a critical point. ARG! Would it kill them to contact the servers getting everything verified/lined-up and such BEFORE the device gets put in recovery (or whatever they call it) mode?
With my iPod, it didn't even put everything in the proper folders. Things are scattered all over the damn place. For both my iPod and iPad it took 3/4 of a day straight to resync all my 40GB of apps (mostly games). I don't know how I have that many, but iTunes says that's what it is. Still, it should not take that freaking long. |

Awesome! I loved that game back in the arcade days. I remember also playing it on a Sega Saturn setup for demo at various stores.
I recently bought a Sega Saturn on ebay. Always wanted one but never got one, until now. I think it came with Daytona USA... |

It's a damn shame Rockstar is not going to offer the hardcore difficulty mode and the Solomon's Folly SP as DLC for the original RDR.
These guys sure like to screw over their customers. This is yet another example. Loyalty means jack shit I guess. |

Free software founder, Richard M. Stallman is glad Jobs is gone. |

Jobs has done more for the tech and computer industry than Stallman ever has or could ever do. Stallman is nothing but a burned out hippie from the 60's that hasn't done jack.
So he started GNU. Big deal. Only a hippie could come up with that anyway. |

I don't remember exactly when I started coming here, but it was the mid-late 90's for sure. Probably very shortly after moving to its own domain. Anyway, I've always thought this site is one of the best, if not THE best, for gaming news and I still do. I will continue to come here until I can no longer physically do it - whatever that might mean.
Long Live Blue! |

Cutter wrote on Oct 9, 2011, 14:12: So it's the driver's fault that you never had a GUI for PC users for this? Riiiiiiight. Wow, has id ever turned into a bunch of dickholes.
That's how you interpreted this? Wow. Your comprehension skills are awful. Either that, or you're very desperately trying to bash id b/c it's now the hip and cool thing to do I guess.
Too bad the radeon driver team can't make a driver to save their ass. ATI drivers have always been pure shit and it's taking id down with it since so many "pc gamers" are complete morons that can't tell the difference between a driver bug and a game bug. On my nvidia setup the game looks and plays perfectly. No crazy tweaking needed either.
The BS I've been reading recently makes me not want to ever admit I'm a pc gamer any more. Good thing I actually play console and pc. No wonder devs no longer want to support pc. These PoG's are a bunch of whiny a-holes. At least console gamers, while they accept lesser quality stuff, are not a bunch of fuktards. |
