And if they follow MS suit, then the road will lead to pc's for many more. Which is good... pc's make you smarter.
Hoping the SteamBox will be out soon. That will solve my problem of not being able to play my PC games on the living room TV.

What about an Alienware X51? You can even get Linux pre-installed on it.

That guy has a very odd definition of what a PC is. He seems to have this bigot attitude that a PC is only something you put together yourself and every part is upgradeable. That's just not true. I guess he just doesn't understand the two words that PC stands for.

Poor article.

NFS 1 for the 3DO is still my favorite. I especially liked the FMV parts that a lot of games had back then. But mainly, I liked how it was one long drive with traffic and cops, instead of doing boring lap after lap after lap.

Wow, and the controller STILL takes batteries!

Lets cause millions of people to create more battery waste. It's so easy to dispose of, and great for fertilization!

Fuck you MS.

What's it supposed to run off? Coal? Just like the 360, you can use regular batteries or buy rechargeable packs. Problem solved.

Deal with it. lol

Hopefully Sony will take full advantage of this and make sure PS4 is the obvious choice. So far I'm 100% PS4, 0% Xbox and I really hope it stays that way.

F MS.

That is one bland and ugly looking console.

The new COD (not that I want to play COD) looks practically the same graphics-wise as MW3 and this was supposed to "blow us away".

You seem to be reaching pretty hard there. I'm no CoD fan boy, but you must be blind as hell to not see the huge differences in graphics.

It's bad enough that this society has become too overly sensitive, liberal PC morons that they have to take out the darker humor, but the biggest thing that disappoints me is the lack of MP. A fast paced old-school style shooter NEEDS MP.

That last one was just plain wrong. That actually is a real file navigation program on SGI IRIX machines called fsn (I have an SGI O2 btw), not a flight simulator. There's nothing wrong with it when it's a legit program already in existence before JP. Of course, it was just experimental, but still.

There's a linux clone of fsn (called fsv) and I suddenly have the urge to add oculus rift support to it. Then we'd have true 90's virtual file navigation!

I gave this a go and like TF2, it's pretty awesome looking at things up close. Objects really do feel like they are there and you can grab them.

I played at a point near the end where you're in the room with Breen, Alex, Eli and Judith. I could look around me and it felt like I could grab a hold of the basket thing Gordon is in. It also felt like I could punch Breen in the head as he appeared to be right there.

It's still sad when some people continue to go on about the Rift's low res and other issues. The thing is made for developers so these things don't matter at all. But there's always those that are always grumpy about everything (sooooo many of them here on BluesNews sadly) and will bitch, moan, and complain no matter what.

I don't quite get your point. The current Rift is a DEVELOPERS kit, not meant to consumers. So unless you're a developer, there is no point in having one. You act like the rift was some kind of scam.

And what do you mean by cereal?

I hope they move away from the Far Cry setup for the next one and just do a linear shooter because thats where the game really shines.

Oh God no. That's the LAST thing we need is more rail shooters. What made Far Cry 3 great was the side-missions and exploration. The sandbox part of it. We do NOT need more CoD style game-play.

I just don't see the point in Ouya. Android phones and tablets support game pads, HDMI (at least tablets, not sure about phones) so if you want to play them on your TV it's quite easy. Also, the games you already bought on Android Play can not be used on the Ouya, you have to re-buy them IF they are even available on there.

Plus, it has been shown that the Ouya is a lot slower than most phones and tablets that's out there now and have been around for quite a while.

The Ouya is one big pointless failure.

Unless it's as big as Skyrim, I don't see this as a full price game if this is true. I don't see myself paying a full $50/60 for it that's for sure.

MP is what made RtCW so great. I liked the SP a lot, but MP was awesome. Not having anything like that is just so lame.

If Skyrim is your benchmark for paying full price, you won't ever buy a game at launch. There hasn't been a game as big as Skyrim since Skyrim.

I think you misunderstood. I'm talking about a game with SP ONLY. I pay $60 for plenty of games, but they all have MP. A game with only SP is half a game as far as I'm concerned. Thus, not worth full price...UNLESS it's huge and has a lot of replayability (like Skyrim or similar, doesn't have to be exactly like that but somewhat).

Heh, just because Office is not on the iPad suddenly you can't type or create documents. Like Office is the only way to do that. lol! Microsoft...bunch of has-beens.

Typing on an iPad is no different than a Surface, plus you can link a BT keyboard to it if you want. There's also more than one document creation app for the iPad. While they may not have all the features of a full PC version of Office (most of which are really useless anyway) it does contain enough to get the job done 90% or more of the time.
