Wow, has the gaming community become so jaded that any game that doesnt have a multi-million dollar budger automatically get dissed?
Just curious. How many games have you guys published in say the last year or two?

Blue,
With all due respect and with much sadness, I think I'm about ready to stop reading your site.. I realize this has been a tough subject for you in the past, and I've even agreed with you.. But the ads that appear on your site have just become too much work.. Ads that make sudden loud noises and are way too obtrusive.
I understand that running a high volume site like yours isnt cheap, and that you're just trying to cover the costs involved, but there has to be a better way. It really saddens me because Blues News has been part of my daily internet life since before Quake 1..
Personally, if you wanted to put ads on both sides of the page and at the top and bottom, thats far better and less obtrusive than any popup ad.
I'm sure that there are plenty out there that will disagree with me.. But, I hate popup ads so much that I'm even willing to pay you for subscription as an alternative. I get a lot of enjoyment out of reading your works.

While they're at it, nin, they should also contact a hosting provider and find out how much its gonna cost them to run a site like this for the next year..
Some of you think that bandwidth just falls from the sky, free as air. Maybe you need to stroll down to wal-mart and buy yourself a shiny new clue-meter.
These ads that Blue runs pay next to dick squat, even for the number of visits he gets per day. So, a little understanding is in order here..

I, personally like the new layout.. Replacing pop up ads with inline ads is far better. And, to those that complain about the ad system, Blue puts lots of blood sweat and tears into this site and he deserves to be compensated for his work.
Bandwidth for this site probably costs a fortune too.
I say keep the new layout..

Yes.. Choice is a Good Thing.. Besides, maybe Activision will allow the guys to finish the job properly and release something a little better.. The Spearhead expansion was nothing more than a couple of new skins and new weapons bundled with maps from a contest EA held.. They could have used their time a little more wisely in the cheat-prevention area.
