Kinda funny but I've probably only played for a few hours since the ex pack came out. And I thought it would get me back in the game... Not sure why, but it just doesn't feel as smooth anymore. Not getting crawling framerates, just a general sluggish feeling.
Patch sounds cool though, I hope it has a new map too

AA missiles suck balls. A good jet pilot never gets shot down by missiles, it is way too easy to avoid them. I should know, I fly a lot.

Whatever man, I play support all the time and I get plenty of kills :p
If they would just fix the browser, the reb/blue bug, and the AA missiles, I would be happy.

I don't think the weapons and movement in D3 were bad, they felt pretty good to me. I might agree with you on the maps though, after playing Desert Combat and CS:S for so long, they just seemed too claustrophobic to me. I still had fun with it though.

To Creston- Yes there was a Q4 demo at Quakecon... A couple DM maps and one CTF. Had to wait around to play, but it was well worth it. The DM was very reminiscent of Q3, very fast paced and hectic. If the SP plays like Q2 I think we will have a winner...

I doubt that many people will be that concerned about staying on the US side, especially now that the BH whores will be outta luck. Besides the BH I can't think of anything that gives the US that big of an advantage.

As someone who has actually played the Q4 demo, I can tell you that the DM is awesome.. It feels like Q3 with some grrovy new stuff added in, and with killer graphics. I haven't played much Q3 in years, but I am looking forward to getting this puppy. Of course, couldn't tell ya a thing about the SP play...

Yet another excellent site gets bought by the grandpappy of all things that suck. 3DG has been my number one source for all gaming files for quite some time now. Oh well, money pays the bills right? Time to find a new site I guess.

Holy cow, this game is looking good. I like a lot of the features they added, scalable maps, penetrating bullets, etc. It's gonna be kickass!!
As far as contemporary vs. ww2, I will agree that with mohaa and all the others, the ww2 scene has been waaay over saturated the last few years. Bf42 was definitely one of the best though. Hopefully, Bf2 will play a lot like Desert Combat. (best....mod....EVAR!)
Can't wait!
