This covers any Android app that uses the LVL code provided by Google, I'd love to see them get involved on that basis.

These guys are basically saying nobody can check if someone bought their software if it is on portable hardware without paying for the privilege.

Mindblowingly, off the chart attempt to abuse a patent that, if you read it, doesn't even cover this. It was for smart card readers.

To repeat again, since everyone seems to be following a herd and not reading the words for themselves, he said 'tiring' and 'daunting'. Now while daunting is pretty relative, and I suspect he'd crap himself at the sight of code and being told to write more, he isn't saying it was a difficult job. He's saying it was tiring and he wouldn't want to do it again.

Not to mention, as someone else pointed out, this is like when people go "fuck yeah! game testing!" and then find it's tedious repetition on a micro level. It's not even like his acting would have prepared him for doing retakes on a line by line basis. I for one, while mentally taxed by my programming work, wouldn't ever consider a voice acting job as easier, because it's not what I'm good at. Especially if I then found out I was knackered at the end of every day and hadn't actually had any kind of fun from it.

Acting is his profession, and the voice work isn't something he enjoyed. He never once said "This is the hardest job on the planet", he just said he didn't fancy it again because it was tiring.

For a high density of programmers and developers, people here sure suck at actually checking over content.

He said the same thing months ago for another interview, it's not a recent thing, so I doubt it's a ploy for money.

Didn't bother reading this one, but the previous interview said he was very physical about doing the voice. Rather than just sitting and trying to get 'panicked while jumping off a rail' tone right, he would throw himself around, much like method acting but for voicing.

So yeah, it probably was far more physically and mentally tiring than a lot of our desk jobs. Harder? Probably not, but he never said that.

The whole 'why do games still not have AA in' thing was covered a few months ago by someone who clearly knew what they were actually talking about.

The simple fact is that the engine writers (Epic I'm looking at you) chose a method of rendering which renders (ho ho) AA impossible under normal circumstances.

Somehow this has once again been totally forgotten and is being blamed on the game makers or the console makers. I guess there's a certain amount of blame you _could_ apportion on the game makers due to the fact they chose to license a lacking engine, but really it's a stupid pointless whine.

Half and half. There's a lot of running around beating on randomly spawning mobs while on a quest, but then I doubt you could really avoid that in an MMO. There's lots of scope for free form lego building, but only in designated areas. So I guess the answer to your question is no, not like Minecraft at all.

That said, we've been in beta, and our kids are getting their pre-order copy any day now.

While it might sound a bit dumb housing criminals in a district of Gotham, it's fairly obvious how they ended up there. Everyone on here (and presumably elsewhere) has said 'please set it in Gotham', and the only way to do that while still including a healthy supply of goons to beat up is to do something like this. I guess it would still have made more sense to just have them take over a few city districts, but then there wouldn't be a logically defined border to hold the player in.

You're half right. You can actually play your B.Net campaign offline, as you've already noticed when you lost connection mid-game (and to offer a counterpoint, I've put in nearly 20 hours on the campaign and haven't lost connection yet).

All you need to do is check "Remember Account" on the login, it'll save your account credentials. Block SC2 with your firewall/unplug the router/whatever to test it and load up SC2. It'll offer to take you to your offline profile, where all your saves are available.

I've been told by a Blizz employee friend that there is a 30 day timer on being offline. If you don't connect during that time then the campaign is removed. I had originally thought he meant ladder time outs like in D2, but apparently not.

It could of just been the console shooting mechanics of that time, but I thought that game sucked.

Nightfire was okay... certainly not great or anything.

I didn't think much of Nightfire, what I played just felt like a weak fps. Everything or Nothing threw enough variation and did it in a very confident and cinematic way I thought. First time the bond girl got dumped out of a helicopter and Bond just dove after her and straight into a free fall level I thought it was great.

It's included in the big THQ pack, which is already on sale. I picked it up on day one. That many games for that little was a no brainer, even with me owning five of them already. The entire pack costs little more than the DoW2/Chaos Rising pack did on sale day, which made me wonder why the DoW2 pack got reduced at all.
