| Why always link to the video shift page? Why not give some credit to the group that pays for it to be published?! |

| I don't care so much about their low requirements, but it WOULD be nice if they had higher "HIGH" settings that could take advantage of newer hardware. |

| It's a poor console port. It has mouse-based turning, but NOT aiming. In other words, your mouse aim is translated into joystick inputs. This results in your character lagging behind your mouse input. It's very annoying. |

| This isn't news -- they've announced that online validation would be required to play SP long ago. It sounds like it'll be a one-time check (unlike the UBI method where a hiccup kicks you out of your game) but it's still a pain. Of course, Blizzard is more likely, than UBI IMHO, to change it if it's a problem for a lot of customers. |

I'm not going to worry about it until they announce idiotic plans to do the same in the U.S. I imagine they want to be able to offer it cheaper without actually losing revenue in the long run.
But if they try subscription here, they lost all purchases by me. |

MP3's can't have DRM. It's not part of the file format. It would have to be some kind of other file.
(Other answer: Amazon MP3s are DRM-free, tagged, named, and have a VBR with something like a 225kbs average. There's a nice downloader app that makes downloading large albums easy (it's not always running). They also have daily sales of music that you may actually want.) |

>> The simple reason is that BC1 and BC2 **never have** had an in-game console.
Not every game includes an in-game console. It's one method of quickly changing variables for debugging purposes, but that doesn't mean that every development process includes creating a console. It doesn't have a console because they didn't want to do extra work to create one. It's not part of their dev process. He's just pointing out a possible bonus to not including one. |

>You idiot, Portal didn't do it first, Narbacular Drop did!", "No you idiot, Narbacular Drop didn't do it first, Prey did in the 1996 demo videos!", "No you idiot, Prey didn't do it first in the 1996 demo videos, OBSCURE DEMO GROUP RELEASE did in a 1994 demo for the 286!" route....
Portal let you create the portals. Prey didn't. Serious Sam had pre-made portals before (released) Prey did. Also had trippy gravity and other fun things. (If you haven't played Serious Sam, you really should! The first 2, not Serious Sam 2.)

>BluRay has a slightly higher bitrate then HD-DVD
BluRay doesn't even have a bitrate. It does support a higher bitrate because it has a higher capacity, but bitrate depends on the movie.
BluRay does not have managed copy, was not (is not?) finalized, and the only real "feature" that it has is additional DRM support.
