Yeah where's the patch EA?
I bought Special Forces a few weeks ago but I regret it. In terms of gameplay the game is really fun, but technically it's embarrassing. Not only is performance very, very poor for what the game is, it's riddled with bugs and they splintered the playerbase. Not to mention that there is maybe one good map in the entire expansion. Also, each time you try to join a game you cross your fingers in hopes of actually being able to join one quickly, if at all. The load times are totally fucked up and half the time when the map is finally loaded, the server has already changed to the next map.
BF2 is a fucking chore. I'm not buying their shit anymore.

I'm really interested in the game since I heard about it (Blue's News earlier post about the digital distribution), I think what they're doing is really cool. But will there be a demo? I never really played Savage.

Anyone else think pre-orders are totally lame?
Also, if it's gold *now*, how come people still have to wait a week, as if it weren't distributed digitally... Maybe they still need to sort their shit or something, but then why announce it already?
Also, it looks to be expensive for what it is. :s I played the mod, not long but I sampled it, very hardcore but I thought it wasn't all that fun. No way am I buying this without a demo first.

Man! I bought the game yesterday but the guy warned me it might be an Italian version (he said he got an e-mail saying so). And of course, it was Italian... even though the box, booklet and CD print was in English. I returned it and got my money back, but I haven't seen the game in any other stores. :s
Coop is great in this game btw (original, can't vouch for the expansion yet). Though it kinda sucked during the hard parts, if you're only with two players and one get's shot down that's it.

I just wish they'd make the support guns not *total crap*. Maybe they shouldn't be as accurate as the PKM on it's first few shots, but their cone of fire is ridiculous: last night I stood 2m from a guy spraying 50 bullets into him (or rather, *at* him), when he finaliy sees me he jumps around a bit and then dives and pops me with a bullet or two. I thought they were fixing that?
Support guns are seriously nerfed, if they're anything like that in real life, people wouldn't cary those into combat I'll tell you that...
And limiting claymores? Way to cave to the cry-babies EA.

Well I mean finally games are being made again like they can and *should* be made, thanks to the next generation in consoles finally being upon us.
All too long have games been dumbed down on graphics & scale for the sake of consoles.
I guess we can ride this for two or maybe three years, when consoles will be far inferior to PCs again and consoles will once again limit the scale of the game.
Oh and remember Sony saying "the PS3 will last 8 years". That's like six years of limiting instead of the what, three we had now?
Funny how consoles never seem to surpass PC's, take CoD2 for example...
Consoles, why you cramping our style man?

You could disable the fog of war and have it mapped/unmapped, at least in skirmish. You could even use circular los and realistic los.
Anyway, it's true, no other RTS comes close to TA im my personal experience. Maybe there's the Total War series, but those are so different.
Since C&C 99% of the developers have remembered everything and learned virtually nothing. That's sad.

- I'm not from the US so I don't know how all that network/syndication stuff works out there but I guess you're right, at least I got an explanation for Andromeda now. 
- I've only seen up until S8 of SG1, and yeah it's really getting bad. Like this season of That '70s Show, that show has been circling the drain for a few seasons, but now that their main character is out of the picture...

Firefly gets cancelled but Andromeda went on to make how many seasons? How many did "Enterprise" get for that matter? Surface is also on it's second season, that show isn't too hot either.
SG1, BSG, and Firefly are some of the best scifi shows ever imo.
