In response to Verno: it's really good. And I'm in the UK and absolutely not a pirate. Got the Insane Edition which has some lovely packaging too, which is nice! Takes the best parts of the last one (which I enjoyed - apart from 'you know what')and makes them better. Looks fantastic, the 'feel' of the character is outstanding and it runs really well, with the usual caveat (on a decent system).

| The end certainly is written by 'another hand' and as such it's reasonable to assume that the sentiments of Crytek are contained in first part, i.e. disappointment. Having said that I bet they're pretty pleased that Crysis 2 has jumped to number 1 and 2 in the pre-order charts here in the UK(PC/XBOX). I looked a few days ago when ordering myself and it was not as popular as this by a long way, so maybe it's not going to work out too bad for them at all! Think most reasonable people would probably agree that they deserve a hit. |

| Hold your horses there pardner (Prez.), I was not 'showboating' but just trying to deliver a bit of balance. And I did say that I had encountered problems; just not that many. I appreciate that the folks on this forum are pretty tech savvy and that problems are not of the 'DELL buyers' variety but the game, in my opinion, is not a total washout and is in fact extremely good (when working). Like our Americans brothers in arms say: 'Just my two cents!' So there really is no need for violence... except in the game of course. |

| I've spent at least 15 hours with only one crash and one bug in a multiplayer game. Dunno what other folks/reviewers are on about with all the 'infested' stuff. Game is superb but admittedly does require a big rig to run as God intended. Fortunately... |

It's cool that you are in a band - I just didn't like the 'Fuck you' part and you know why? Because you wouldn't say it to my face - just like the other guy wouldn't.
Why abandon good manners just because your're anonymous? It's not big or clever (sorry for the cliche). Anyway we're all into games and probably a lot of the same ones too - so let's just leave it at that. I'm sure that you're nice guys really! And the fact that you're English is VERY cool as well(me too). Sorry for any insult caused; us PC gamers need to stick together really!

It wasn't a defense you tit: it was sarcasm - plain and simple since he didn't understand what I was getting at. And facetious doesn't mean what you think it means. Irony on the other hand does deal with the subtext of what has been written or said. It's to do with inference and deduction.

OK, I was waiting for (and deserved) that but you must have missed my apology earlier on.
Anyway, are you American because my last post was semi-ironic - which many of our cousins across the pond don't 'get'? I'm all for disagreement mate - just not bad manners, and yes I am a grown up and not a whining child that takes comments directed at someone else personally. I'll give you the alien part (being weak) but the rest still stands. As for reviews - I don't live by them but I meant check them ALL out on metacritic or wherever (an average); surely they can't all be in EA's back pocket and it's pretty naive to suggest otherwise. Overall - it's a great game according to the majority (we'll leave the tech spec's for now as that's a whole other ball game) and that's what counts. Personal opinions are fine (like yours and mine) but to deny the view of the gaming industry press as a whole says more about your own sensibilities and preferences than about the game itself; like I say - maybe some folk who thought they like the genre, don't really much care for it in reality. Anyway, rant over - off to play Project Reality with some of my mates.
P.S. sorry for being uncouth but Crytek are one of 'ours' and soon they're going to be one of 'theirs' (consoles) and that's...just...never good! It makes me all emotional - right, off to drop a JDAM on someone.

Just to provide a sense of balance to the pricks who post negatively about this great game - I loved the first one and can't wait for some more! And honestly, if you don't like FPS then just leave them alone. Stick to whatever you do like...and before you say you do love 'em, it's just that this was a bad one - please check the scores and stuff; maybe you don't like them as much as you thought you did! I mean, it ticks all the boxes: great visuals, awesome firefights and action generally, fantastic maps, high(est) level of interactivity, top sound FX, massive maps, stereotyped 'tough guy' characters and a reasonable premise (for a sci-fi action romp) much like those of 'aliens', 'predator' and 'the thing'. This is what an FPS is for God's sake.

Guys, guys, guys - calm down.
Crysis was truly a great game; check metacritic or gamerankings for the only verdict that actually, really, honestly matters. Your personal opinions aren't gonna change anything and all the negativity will just make you stressed out and unhappy.
We get the fact that it WAS resource hungry on Very High (and even on High with less than an 8800 class) and we get the fact that it was heavily pirated too and could have made more money - but Crytek are a dyed in the wool, bona fide PC games company with two astoundingly well reviewed games to their name. Cut them some slack and support them; they're what PC FPS are all about - maybe the detractors here have just outgrown the genre. But lots of folk haven't and WE want MORE!

Unlike many here, as a sandbox FPS/explosion/Predator/AAA
game/innovation/cool graphics and sound/cliche/talent and success story fan, I absolutely loved Crysis; this is just the news I and many others have been waiting for. Can't wait. Bring it on etc. etc. etc.

I'm guessing that most of the naysayers on this topic are American. Many of you just have different values and expectations to us Euros/Brits, i.e. you behave like spoiled little children, relentlessly making statement after STATEMENT and insulting one another. Crysis is still selling well here and has been almost universally loved by the press and the market/players.
Your manner/s and whole approach to the subject of Crysis stink, but that's the price we all have to pay for freedom of speech and a worldwide forum I suppose. Me, I loved it, but you don't have to, so just realx and do some breathing exercises or something.

i played it on a 8800gt, q6600@3ghz and 4gb ram. i also played under xp which gave it a boost. seriously, the performance was fine (25 - 50 fps)and in response to theyare..., i have played them all and this is one of the finest. you really are no connoisseur are you? 'yo tink yo r da bomb' no doubt 'cos you can swear and talk big stuff like frustrated nomarks everywhere. but you're not. so there. you tit. shit now i'm doing it!!!
