Keep in mind, though, that from everything I've read bearded dragons are definitely a lot more involved than skinks and whatnot, especially with diet. Basically, if you're at all squeamish about (or just don't want the messy, noisy hassle) feeding your pet live insects and mice, then I'm not sure a beardie is for you (stopped me from buying).

Every article I read about them says that live crickets and the occasional mouse are a MUST for growing bearded dragons. I wasn't at all interested in that myself.

The overall poor reviews (53 metascore!) have kept me from ever buying this game--even though the concept has always sounded pretty cool to me (especially the option to play it co-op). Alas, that score doesn't bode well, free weekend or not.

Congrats on the anniversary, Blue! I've been here since the beginning--since even before the domain switch.

Why they would choose to set it on a weird greek island and then not include the campaign that would no doubt have given the Greek setting a point is beyond me.

Well they are including it, episodically, soon after release. First episode (part) comes out next month. They certainly aren't leaving it out, just taking a bit more time to polish it.

I play almost entirely co-op with friends, so we have no problem with this, obviously, as we just use the editor and user missions from the Steam Workshop and Armaholic. If you play by yourself then yeah, this is more of a bummer to have to wait a few more weeks for the start of your campaign. Wasn't the best way they could have planned it, I agree, but oh well.

All that said, Arma 3 is absolutely gorgeous(!), and insanely fun and epic! The main island, Altis, is a masterpiece. My GOTY for sure.

Talk, talk, talk...where's stand alone?

P.S. He's been spouting that story since the beginning of DayZ, heard it a million times.

They really need to get someone else in there to run this ship. Rocket seems way over his head.

If there's not at least an option to go first-person, then I'll skip this one entirely, like I did War of the Roses (for the same reason). First-person or forget it.

Surprised they're not just asking the "community" to build them one. That's how they support all their games now.

With no official cockpit view from day 1 (they didn't feel it was necessary), this version of the series now holds ZERO interest for me. Ever.

The Alpha is AMAZING and leeeagues better than Arma 2 in just about every single way! And it's still got a ways to go to even being finished/fully revealed, too (the full game and all its features).

I'm currently upgrading my aging rig solely for this game, just based on my time with the Alpha since March. First title that's pushed me to truly want to upgrade in years. It's that good (if you dig this sort of thing anyway).

News Comments > GRID 2 Cockpit Mode?
25. Re: GRID 2 Cockpit Mode? May 29, 2013, 16:39 Sir Graves

If that's in any way "official", it looks kind of lame and amateurish--looks more like a fan-made mod.

SHIFT 2: Unleashed still has the best, most visceral-feeling cockpit view (their "helmet-camera") I've ever played. I wish something like that was in every racing game. Do any others have it??

Anyway, the fact that this was released with no stated cockpit view (reprehensible if they indeed do ever release one as DLC!) totally ruins it for me from the get-go. No sale.

News Comments > Scrolls Beta Content Clarified
10. Re: Scrolls Beta Content Clarified May 29, 2013, 16:28 Sir Graves

Nope. Sorry, Mojang. $20 (apparently a discounted price??!) is still too much for this and I won't bite.

Now Minecraft, on the other hand? Best $20 I've ever spent on a game, but that was different. I had a huuuuuge, sprawling virtual world to explore, live in and build things in with my friends/family, where the possibilities are virtually limitless. The epic, amazing times we've shared in that game (and still share) made that a very special experience in my book, worth whatever price would have been charged.

But this is just a digital card game, man. Come on.
