The time limit killed the game for me. I was having fun exploring the universe, minding my own business, then all of a sudden all of the systems start disappearing and there is no way to stop it. Game over. It's been a while since I played but it felt like the time limit was way too short. Maybe if I can find a hack that disables the time limit, I'll give it another go.
The megamod linked in this thread has a stop cleansing option and a reverse cleansing option. As well as being a HD remaster.

Don't really care about getting free games so never bothered claiming any of them.
Even if you don't care... when you claim a freebie the devs get paid by Epic for each one since the freebies are subsidized. So if you want to contribute to indie devs in a small way that's free to you, get the freebies.

I read a comment that if anything, Nintendo has to hate that a little indie company made a game arguably better than their own. I wouldn't say they "stole" Pokemon, but rather they borrowed concepts. Concepts that worked while adding their own spin on it. Nothing wrong with that as there are probably a few million games you can say ripped off another game something.

Unless you have EXACT characters, from the models, to the color palette they used, I don't think Nintendo has anything that they could claim plagiarism against this one.
One can sue someone else for any reason. At that point the question is, does a company want to spend all the resources to fight it?

And it probably only got 1 month because that was the prepaid amount to the server hosting company.

I'm slightly impressed that the investor company pushed to have all purchased refunded and not just pocket the money.

No subscriptions for me for games. I suppose I should thank these greedy fuckers, they will finally force me to get a slightly more productive hobby in the next 5-10 years, or just play old stuff I have on GoG.

I'm about ready to cancel every streaming service, they keep raising prices and (mostly) offering worse service/selection.
Subscribe to their black friday specials, catch up on stuff, then cancel when the prices go up, cheap way to do it. Maybe grab a month of one or two of whoever has the stuff you want to see that month. It's a pain, but that's the cheaper way to do it.

And some of the black friday deals have like $2/month streaming for a year so that works out just in time for the next black friday one. Sometimes one has to be prepared to make new accounts however.

(I'm talking here about TV streaming).

For game streaming, I'll stick to gamepass, and buying 2 or 3 years at a time with the xbox gold cards thing. I might get a month or two of ubi for this game, then it will be cheaper than buying it.

Looks like there's unity asset extractors
But also looks like it's on spotify, so that's probably easiest.

I don't see any proof in the pudding that shows this score isn't made up from the tea leaves of some accounting head at Epic. Have you ever seen such a review popup? Because I haven't. So we can already assume from this that it doesn't even show up on games you got for free? Where would it even show up? In the client?
I did mention it's possible it's still made up. And yeah I've never seen that.
When I googled I got similar things to this about how it works:

Their announcement says nothing about concurrent players, and it doesn't sound like they're implying that either. They're merely stating that 17m unique players have the game and created n characters
And it could well be that 10m of that was from presales when the game first came out and the other 7m is over 5 years.
17m sounds plausible to me over the entire history of the game across all platforms.

Edit: Did brief checking, sounds like it was 1.4m sales in first month of release. Which is pretty impressive that it's built up to that amount over the history of the game. Because that's essentially what the 17m is saying, we've sold at least that many copies over the history of the game.

Meanwhile I got flamed way back when I mentioned that EGS "review" score is 100% fake on all games, not just on EGS exclusives ^^

Really, try to find the actual reviews it uses as score aggregate. They don't exist.
So, EGS isn't aggregate of reviews to be clear. They said their review system asks some random players who play over 2 hours to submit a review rating. Which is PAST the refund time. So people hating it enough to refund, won't be asked to review the game. That in and of itself tilts the review ratings upwards. In otherwords, they pick who to offer a review rating opportunity to. It's not like steam or other platforms where anyone who has the game can do a review even if they then refund it. Ostensibly this is to avoid review bombing. Which I'm sure it does. But it also has the effect of boosting all the review scores on EGS. It's a much heavier handed approach (and also less manpower intensive) than Steam's approach of "hey this game has abnormal reviews in this period of time and it's flagging for manual review, and even if we exclude some in the score for being off topic we will still let people see them AND we will let people set a setting to still include them in the scores they see if they wish"

And EGS also send polls to players that ask things like "does this game have diverse characters" "are the controls easy to understand" "How much fun is this game"
That's assuming they are telling the truth. And they of course can choose what poll questions they ask and after seeing the answers, which ones to include on the game page.

They very well COULD be made up from whole cloth numbers and all, I just wanted to clarify they've never claimed it's review aggregates to my knowledge.

This info is from when EGS announced they were going to start including review ratings:
https://store.epicgames.com/en-US/news/the-epic-games-store-ratings-and-polls-update

And in case anyone wants to know about Steam's review policy and the setting I mentioned for off topic review bombs:
