As someone who enjoys 8 hours a day in an office with people ceaslessly dropping 4chan speak in person "lol", "derp", "fail" rather than communicate like human beings - I say fuck off to 4chan references.

"cosplaying fans asking where they can get Adam's coat"

It's coupons for the Deus Ex clothing line.

I think unless it's a free expansion or some bonus content to unlock I simply don't care.

Leaning, really? What do you need that for when you have the cover system?

Because leaning is superior to a cover system.

Game has crashed with an error three times on me, but what it loves to do is freeze up during loads. That's happened maybe 6 times, twice in the last half hour.

Yeah, same. I have a mid to highend system that never get's crashes in other titles. So there are still some bugs to be ironed out. I'd say I get about 2 crashes per play session. Usually during load or while accessing the inventory.

Hasn't spoilt my enjoyment of the game though. Loading times don't seem that bad to me. And the crashes haven't happened during action, as mentioned above mostly while accessing inventory etc.

Speaking of the interface, it's one thing that is clearly suffering from some consolitis. Moving items about in the inventory shouldn't be so sluggish. Also, the buttons for 'back', 'hack' etc seem to be slow to respond. Or only become active after a second or two. As though they weren't meant to be used by a mouse or something.

I've just finished Destroit with nearly all of it as ghost. The final side mission completed, where I needed to knockout the gangster in the apartment, was about the first time I attempted combat. Rude awakening as I was killed fast. I hadn't upgraded any armour augs upto that point.

I lobbed two exploding drums at the first boss and did some repetitive circling around a pillar hitting him with pistol shots and he died easily.

It was all very 90s.

People are the problem with society. They keep finding new ways to congregate and socialise which results in all kinds of generic sleazy activity.

Excellent.

No helmet sort of makes those giant armoured shoulders pointless. But then small headed characters with giant shoulders is what Epic does well. I've only played a bit of GOW but this seems like an inhouse GOW mod.

Apple develops Fisher Price tech products for people with disposable incomes.

As a person who is into computer hardware and technology I've never paid them much attention to them. "Tech journalists" seem to lavish a disportionate amount of column space to a company that is better at aesthetic product design and doesn't impact anyone who is seriously into hardware, or a poweruser.

Dumb AI is a sign that a game is less scripted and allows more freedom.

"Smart AI" means a game has less freedom and your opponents are scripted to react to everything in a completely linear way.

I'd like to believe this story and the "eyewear" story demonstrate how these "games" companies have lost the plot.

But then I suppose being able to appeal to morons who like this guy's music means they're..successful..?

The weird thing is, the machine gun you start out with. I don't know, holding onto that thing... the whole model of it just reminded me of an old-school game compared to some of the shooters I've played lately. I'm not saying that's bad or good, just different.

That sounds like a positive

Serious Sam was a giant hodge podge of random nonsense themes dumped together.

It was good at what it did, but it had no central character like Duke and no original vision.
