Played the tutorial (the instructor's voice really got on my nerves) and all the levels in the campaign...
All I will say is that it's a very bland game compared to Dawn of War. Think about comparing Diablo II and Titan Quest. One game is just way more fun than the other - for various reasons.
Some people actually enjoyed Titan Quest so I'm sure there are some people who will like Mark of Chaos. To me though it's just another RTS. Very blah. I never had high hopes for this game anyway.

That NWN 2 review on 1UP is going to annoy a lot of people.
Yeah, that review was really bad. That I can admit to even though I agree with him 110% on third edition DnD which is unplayable and Eberron just makes things worse. There's just way too much shit. Oh well I still want to get my hands on NWN2 though!

Haha! I don't know which Eurogamer review - Archlord or RF Online - I find more hilarious. I'm glad to hear Archlord's servers are empty. It's crazy to think Lineage is still insanely popular though as they both play the same.

Once saw an MIT undergrad on the show who didn't know what an isthmus was. She got it mixed up with a peninsula. Next they'll show a Brown student who won't know what a fjord is and get it mixed up with a sound. This is elementary school stuff people!

It won't be any good. They apparently spent more time on the gimmicky customization options - which they mention repeatedly in press releases and previews - over the actual battle mechanics. I mean have you seen the videos? It's kind of sad knowing that the best strategy game to come from the WHFB license will be Dark Omen.  Which is not say Dark Omen was bad because it was actually very good - ahead of its time even. But Dark Omen is almost 10 years old!

Smart my ass. Vanilla Oblivion was garbage. It's only a decent PC game now thanks to user created mods.
Anyway, I liked what I saw on Dark Messiah. Being able to see the rest of your body in first person might seem gimmicky to some but I appreciate it very much. I didn't know about it until I played the demo and it was kind of a "woah look at that" moment. Combat is fast and hectic so I like it. Being able to use the environment to kill enemies is pretty cool. Picking up and waving around a spoon in front of you in Oblivion was fun for maybe 5 seconds.

"Can I get these mods for Oblivion on my XBOX 360? Waaaaaah!" No, you can't. GTFO. Playing FPS games using a gamepad? WTF. I still can't get over that. Consoles are just for the occasional Japanese RPG or sports game.

I was disappointed with Rome but this game looks like it will make up for that.
(Edit) It's too bad the demo won't save my custom key settings. The default key setup is pure shit and makes it frustrating to play.

The only thing that I have learned from the past is that I had a hell of a lot of fun with BF2 for the last year and with me thousands of other people. I really don't understand what your point is...

A game where super-soldiers have supreme lazer weapons and can run across a map in 5 mins and can destroy a mech single handedly on their own without breaking a sweat is... BORING
BF2142's unimaginative version of the future is also... BORING.
Come on now it's duh freaking future! The article that Riley linked is spot on. BF2142 is a BF2 mod and a half-assed one at that.

Hey! I enjoyed MDK. Then again, I also thought Battle Arena Toshinden was the shit when I was 13. I spent hours repeatedly sniping and nuking the same bad guys as they respawned because I hated platforming.
Does anyone remember Messiah? Did that game ever come out? If it did I sure didn't know about it. That game was hyped beyond belief.
