| actually, sounds like what we've been doing to every Unreal powered game since the original Unreal. Editing the .ini files has become old hat for Unreal veterans. For widescreen support, cachmegs, better OpenGL settings, you name it, we've done it, and we'll do it again. |

I'm guessing, but maybe the field of view (FOV)? I had the same thing happen to me with Half-Life 2 at first, then I found out the FOV was too narrow, once corrected I no longer had that problem. |

and I'm still waiting for them to publish System Shock and System Shock 2 that will run on Vista or 7.
Never got a chance to play the first one, and try as I may, I just cannot get System Shock 2 to run. And my SS2 CD still looks almost new, been too long since I played that game. |

I don't ever recall anywhere it being stated by them that they were closing shop permanently. The original statement was the closing was for changes being made.
so, don't you ladies be gettin' your panties all in a bunch now.
On that note, lets hope these "Huge New Releases" includes something interesting, System Shock 1 & 2 perhaps? Then I'll be interested. |

The last question amuses me
Deus Ex has been around for so long; why has nobody done a good job of imitating it until now? Someone has actually, with a complexity that even challenges the original Deus Ex. And they did it with style and professional quality. And, it's free to play, as long as you have the original Deus Ex. I can never recommend this mod enough. If you are a fan of the original Deus Ex, this is a must play mod.

I'll reserve my judgement, for now. I liked IW on the PC, but I liked the original far better. I would like to believe that the developers and publishers of this new installment do not go through life with blinders on. And with this, realize the complaints issued towards IW have merit and will make it into a more truer successor of the original.
On that note, I'll withold the petty "It's IW Part 2" remarks until I have a actual product in hand and try it out for myself. If it indeed lacks the complexity of the original and is more like IW, I'll be right there complaining with the rest though. |

| I really wish they went back to the NOLF series instead. This looks more like a fighter-shooter then a horror game. Hopefully they stop after this and go back to NOLF. |

Hey, cast him as Barney and they might actually get Bruce Willis to be funny for the first time in twenty years. Yep, Ross Scott would be perfect for the role, he even resembles Gordon. |

Thank you Irrational, leave MP to the CS:S, CoD, Halo and the sort types. I was shocked when I heard BioShock 2 had multiplayer, and I never bought it either. Every game doesn't have to have MP in it. I figure this, if it's going to have MP in it, the single player game suffers (See: Call of Duty 4, 6 hour SP campaign) |

| Oh Heck Yes!! Sign me up. I loved the first game, hope the music is just as creepy. Nice screenshots, looks like they'll keep the look and feel of the first, with some well improved graphics. |

Umbragen wrote on Jun 22, 2010, 22:52: Invisible War is, as stated above, worth $2.50, but since it uses the same engine as Thief 3, good luck getting it to run stable on new operating systems, even XP tends blue screen occasionally. I just played through it recently on Vista, and I did not have a single issue with it. It played perfectly with a Core 2 Duo, 4GB of memory and a GeForce GTS 250. It never crashed, ran flawlessly. |

Haters gotta hate. I loved the Alice game, and it looks even better now at today's higher resolutions and wide screen.
This is indeed good news.
