Haha, I see Jack is popular

Compulsive computer game playing affects the brain just like an addiction.
No shit, Sherlock! Maybe compulsive is in the definition of addiction...

I wonder if anyone will feel bad about pirating music after having read Sherman's statement.

Yeah, WTF? I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought that was weird.
I thought so too, but then they said that they were aware of it in the commentary, but those are the available cards. The text, though, seemed fucked up to me. Instead of editing they through in some kind of update to the text which explained a little. But they must also be retarded to use those colors for their graphs. I mean, two different nuances of red and green? WTF? Don't they know the most common color deficiency is red/green, like I have? Sloppy work!

If you'd like to see what Half-Life 2 looks like in your living room....
And that's just such a predjudiced thing to say. I have my computer in the living room. There's a reason why it's called a living room.

RAAAWWR!!

Glad to see you were still able to puzzle it out, but yeah -- I meant Switzerland.
Glad to see you took my remark in good spirit. And I don't want people to think that my country has a militia.

MeatFarts:
So when you think "militia", think something a little closer to what Sweden does.
If you can't distinguish between Sweden and Switzerland you'd probably be better off shutting your mouth.

But, I have to admit I do get confused when Russia plays in the Euro Cup. "How come Russia plays in the Euro cup? I thought they're in Asia? So, why doesn't India play in the Euro?
Westernmost Russia is in Europe, the rest in Asia.

This is the deep irony.
Which means they just provided people with yet another incentive to pirate music. Especially if SONY doesn't end up paying for this in some direct way.

Funny to see a bunch of you complaining about temperatures when here in SoCal it's been a steady 80ish (F) for a while now. Especially since I'm used to Swedish weather :-p

Speaking of F.E.A.R. performance I acutally get marginally lower performance with the new Cat 5.11 compared to the 5.10a. Improved slightly in Quake 4 and Source Stresstest though, in case anyone's interested...

I don't mind them doing optimizations for particular games as long as it doesn't mean less time optimizing in general (= for smaller games).

In this case it seems there was an optimization via the Catalyst AI that is for the demo version of FEAR but goes in effect on the retail version where it does just the opposite - lowers performance. If you ran FEAR without Cat AI before you shouldn't notice any difference, otherwise you should see an improvement, and it's got nothing to do with DX level.
